She's been getting into "Hands in my Pocket" from Alanis Morrisette and various songs from Garbage like "I'm only happy when it rains" and "I think I'm paranoid". Also Cheryl Crowe "Soak up the Sun" and "All I wanna do". On a side note she's grown up "Muffin Man" from Frank Zappa though....I got her

Well it is hard to beat Tool, Audioslave, or Stone Temple Pilots. I’ve taken a little time off from XM Hair Nation and found a Pandora Channel that I really like and heard these three gems today.

I tried to post just the link to the last one but it would not work.

Always liked The Mavericks.

Lately I have been revisiting the superb albums of cover songs done by "Sid n Susie". aka Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs. They are chock full of iconic songs from the 60's & 70's and there's hardly a clinker in the bunch despite the daunting task of having to follow on from the original artists' versions. And some of them are downright amazing, like this one ...

At first thought one might be tempted to pan off a "power pop musician" and a "girl-group songstress" coming together to perform one of the most epic prog rock tunes ever recorded by Yes. But when Steve Howe himself is on board on the song, you know this is a serious attempt at a faithful cover. Sid n Susie handle the vocals beautifully and Steve absolutely goes off on the solo for the "All Good People" movement of the song.
