Couldn't agree more!

Its too bad the new bands don't have the attitude, talent or desire they had. What we're left with now is NO rock and roll anymore! I can tell you as a 12 or 13 year old I wanted to be a guitar player, guys wanted to be them and woman wanted to be WITH them, that's what its all about. Fast forward to today, does anyone wanna be One Direction (another word that rhymes with direction, think about it) 5 seconds of summer, I guess all the good names are taken:o I guess this is what happens when take the man out of "being a man". Call me a knuckle dragger all you want but its true, period!

There is good music out there. It's not mainstream. Kids today are more likely to go to an arena to see a dude play a video game or watch some cosplay:

I see it as a bit nerdy, but that's just my opinion. About "being a man"...things have changed for sure. Now when kids get in a fight after school, people call the cops and file assault charges. I know a kid that just got expelled for calling another kid a name. I think One Direction and comic books may be perfect for this generation.

Sorry if I offended any fans of cosplay, video games, or One Direction... LoL.

That's another thing... people today always have to apologize for "offending" anyone. Like you can't have anything but the most liberal opinion anymore that doesn't "offend" anyone. I'm offended because they have taken the right of an offensive person like me to offend.

Well said Sonic, I know there's good music out there but why can't it just make it out for everyone to listen to?

Its the main problem I have with country, people are told its good and they scoop it up, mindless robots. I say this because people were told about Taylor Swift being "country" and they scooped it up, now look at what she's doing, NOT country, LOL, same thing with Kelly Clarkson.

I like good, mainstream bands and some lesser known but here's the thing with music, if its 40 years old and you've never heard it before, its new music. The radio today has done all of us a disservice for sure. I love Santana but all you hear is "Black Magic Woman" and Oye Coma Va" and "Evil Ways", really radio, the guy has been making music for 45 years and that's all you can play:rolleyes: Same thing with Hendrix, my favorite of all time and you guys all know the songs the radio plays from him.

Honestly, I only listen to the radio for sports talk but that's now becoming a liberal channel too!

You can never predict what people will choose
to be offended by.

But:
I try to imagine a life where people do not get offended:
So Dull.
