101.1 WRIF had a morning show that was better for me than coffee in the morning. Good for a laugh, perspective, and and reflection. Twenty years ago the show became a big part of my life, and after they were fired in 2013, it was an adjustment, and a task finding something to listen to in the mornings.

So, I've been reliving my youth a bit this week, in the mornings driving around Pontiac, and Auburn Hills listening to the guys.

I became an adult in the winter of 1991 and listen to their show right around the time they began, grew up listening to JJ and the morning crew in the early 1980's.

I've been on cloud 9 all week with the podcasts, it's like they never left. Now if they could put together WDFN from the late 90's and early 2000's I'd be all set!

You guys out there who wanna hear some funny guys, get an app like pocketcast and look up Drew and Mike, a Detroit institution for over 22 years and they talk about everything, not just the D but even if they do, it's funny sh...stuff

Oh man it's great! My life feel "right" again somehow. I'm friends with Mike on FB. I'm thinking about offering to donate a detail service out of sheer appreciation.

I did two jobs for a friend of mine over the weekend who is also a fan. I had the podcasts playing while I was polishing the cars, laughing my head off! So much fun!

Live Led Zeppelin on youtube.

From 1969, 1987, and 2012. it's rally interesting to listen to the vast improvements in live audio recording over that time span.
