Sour Puck,

There a SoCal Surf Grunge band and the lead singer and guitar player is a good friend of mine.

Here's one of his songs, we used it on a bunch of ShowCarGarage videos,

Race Cars

He's also a custom painter,

In this picture, Jonny is the crazy looking guy with the blue blockers on, I'm on the right hand side and in the middle is Pete Santini, famous custom painter in SoCal.

Jonny also invented and owns the WetWedge company. I brought some wet wedges with me from California, when we get our advanced class up and running we'll be showing these and lot of cool tools.

:xyxthumbs:

I've known about Pete since I was a young boy/pre-teen (probably around 20-25 yrs ago, as I always loved seeing his work in Hot Rod Magazine and the other custom car magazines when I was growing up) and I had no clue that he was in a band! That is so cool!!!!!

Here is an oddball flame job he did for Popular Mechanics Magazine in the early 2000's! (I think I still have a copy of it somewhere)

He has also brought a few paint jobs to life from Steve Stanford's artwork!

Local guy, Jeff Gutt singing "Meadow" with his new band, Stone Temple Pilots.

Maybe I should have drummed for him last Christmas instead of being sick....?

Also, Toto has a new track - "Alone". The lyrics hit home. Drums were performed by one of my two favorite drummers - Vinnie Colaiuta. Their original drummer, (my other fav) Jeff Porcaro passed away in 1992. Since then I've been hoping to hear Vinnie with them. Kind of a full circle moment for me.

Heard the new STP song...I like it, singer sounds pretty good

I'm grooving to the concert recording from Amsterdam in 1983 of "Heaven and Hell" by Dio. I'm watching the whole concert for the hundredth time.

There is an annual cancer benefit in Detroit, featuring local bands covering Dio tunes.

This year I had my dream line up. I've been wanting to put these guys together since 2010!

I've worked with Jason, the bassist since we were teenagers in the mid 90's. Our singer Chris did some touring with 80's U.K. band Tokyo Blade. Steve, on guitar - my brother from another mother has teched for Yngwie Malmsteen.

Anyways, here is us doing Heaven and Hell!
