What are you listening to...?

I'll date myself here but the day I got my license, Feb 1986, my buddy and I drove to Eastland Mall down 8 mile and bought tickets for Ozzy w/ special guest Metallica. They just released "Master of Puppets"...yes I'm very lucky, saw that tour twice as they came back to Pine Knob Music Theater in the summer of 86'.

Saw them eveytime they came to Detroit from 1986-92. The best show was "...and justice for all" Tour 1989, where The Cult opened the show...loudest concert I've ever been to! We sat about half way up on the bowl of Pine Knob and when I say my ears rang for 2 days, I'm not just bring cliche' here

Holy Crap Roger....

I saw the same ticket on April 1st 1986. Two days after my 16th birthday.

Lucky to have seen Cliff Burton. :righton:
IIRC it was April 6th, 1986 and yes CLIFF

I saw Johnny Winter (RIP) at The Ark in Ann Arbor and my ears were like that for a few days.

I saw Slayer in 1995 at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC.

It’s a small venue compared to say, an arena.

My ears rang for days. And I wouldn’t trade that day for anything.

Still have the ticket stub. Lol

The Queen..........................

Although not my favorite, it never gets old..................

Every few years, the song gets a makeover and takes on another life. Much like Kylie herself.

The beat of the Disco-era version is delightful as well.

I have to say, I'm rather surprised at how successful her latest music has been, and not just from her rusted-on fans like me, but with a whole new generation. You only have to hear the crowd chanting along in the first video above to get that impression. Same with the Padam Padam performance at the same event.

I came across Jessie Ware when she teamed up with Kylie for the song "Kiss of Life" on the Guest List Edition of Disco. But I have since gone on to discover her back catalog of music and adore her powerful vocals and style. Some of her earlier work is much more easy listening, very soothing, the later stuff is a modern take on disco.

These videos went live over the weekend after her performance at BBC Radio 2 in the Park 2023.............

I absolutely love this cover of Cher's Believe.................

Spotlight is another favorite..............

She also does a podcast with her mother called "Table Manners", where they host a celebrity guest for dinner and a chat. Again, another discovery via Miss K.
