I love my Android powered phone. Anytime you can take a phone from 800MHz to a stable 1.8GHz and still be able to maintain battery life, you have to love the phone. It can do anything my friends' iPhones can do and then some. I'd say the biggest thing I love about my phone is the fact it runs widgets and not just icons on the screen. That is a huge help when you are monitoring the system.

Why yes you did and considering that you were with me in Vegas when my Galaxy S Vibrant walked away never to be seen again, I had to get the G2 when you showed me how awesome it was.

And available on most newer phones: I LOVE that I can connect my phone to my in car stereo via bluetooth, hands free, plus commercial free (pandora) music in the car.
 
One I just downloaded and been playing with is Torque . It's used so you can monitor certain engine functions on your phone . You need to buy a OBD2 adapter and it's send the signal from the car too your phone using blue tooth .

I saw someone using something like that on their iPhone a couple years ago with their Mini Cooper. That was kind of sweet. I've been looking for something like that for Android for awhile now, so I'll definitely have to check that one out! Thanks for the tip!

For what? Tapatalk is amazing, and more diverse than any specific forum app would be.

Unless you meant for purchasing/scanning items you need to restock....THAT would be awesome!

Yes - there are a few tethering applications available... my favorite is PDANET

If you have one with a wifi hotspot built in, you can simply root the phone to have the wifi for free...

Rooting allows you too communicate directly with the phones kernel which controls everything... you can trick it into thinking it is receiving the signal from the cell network to activate that feature, thus allowing you to use it... FOR FREE!! :dblthumb2:

You dont need to root Android to have the hotspot feature anymore with Froyo. It's native....and works wonderfully.

Rooting is great as well as long as you're know what you're doing to maximize the benefits. Without the correct knowledge, MANY people are rooting their phones expecting wonders, which isnt always the case....Keep in my, if your phone is bricked while rooted, your warranty is void if that matters to you.
 
On the HTC EVO and EVO shift, it still needs a mock signal showing that the hotspot can be activated... plus some of the ROMs out there after rooting I personally like much more than the googlian ones :)

Hmm....That sucks for them with those phones..Seems like some always need to make things more complicated than necessary.

I've been doin a little research as to what carrier to change to since AT&T is evil. You have any personal experience with other providers that offer the same benefits as Tmobile (no limit on data, etc.) at a fair price?
