and why?

I'm looking for 3 dedicated products.

One product to strip LSP's for clay and polishing.

One product for maintenance washes that does not strip wax and sealants (ONR is omitted)

And One product dedicated to go in a foam gun to make gobs of foam.

What are your favorite auto WASHES?

Chemical Guys Cirtrus Wash and Clear fits all three of those. It can strip sealants and waxes a 1 oz per 1 gallon. at 1 oz per 4 gallons it will not strip wax. And I have heard it works good in a foam gun.

do you know what the difference is between Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Clear vs their Citrus Wash?

I use their citrus wash now as a LSP Stripper.

Right now, for maintenance washes I love Dodo Juice Born to Be Mild.
  • High Lubricity
  • Pleasant smell
  • High dilution
  • Produces plenty of suds for the suds fanatics here (I am not one).
  • Resonably priced
Only used Dawn to stip some LSP, so I cannot make an educated point to that, but I will hopefully be getting some of the CG Citrus on my next AG order.

Also don't have a foam canon.

Have to agree. Why use three when one will do.

Their Citrus Wash & Gloss has gloss enhancers in it while the Citrus Wash & Clear does not contain any gloss enhancers.

this is testiment that they offer too many products.

I was asking the difference between Citrus Wash. and the Citrus Wash & Clear. Not the Wash and Gloss....

ultima
cg glossworkz
bf
in that order

strip:dawn, IMO, hype you need anything else...
general: glosswkz. great in foam gun

Oh I apologize, I misread your question. Mark (07 z-oh-6) uses the Citrus Wash I believe. Maybe he can answer it. :xyxthumbs:

LOL...I'm waiting for the pics from Meghan or Nick showing how they had to buy out the rest of the building to fit all the CG stuff.

CG Cirus Wash for stripping.

Optimum Car Wash (not ONR) is by far my favorite or Duragloss Car Wash as a close second which I usually buy because of price at CarQuest when they have it on sale for $17.99/gallon.

Don't have a foam gun.

1. Dawn for stripping
2. Duragloss 902 for everyday washes
3. I dont own a foam gun

CG Citrus wash and clear daily is perfect for stripping and foam gun. It's also excellent for maintenance washes but nothing I've tried so far touches ultima paint guard wash as a maintenance wash. The windows never need cleaning on the outside and the car looks like it was just detailed. It eliminates water spotting and rinses of like a dream. Incredible lubricity and very concentrated and economical.

Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Red

Dodo Juice Born to be Mild Car Shampoo, car wash, auto shampoo, car soap

DP Xtreme Foam Formula High Yield Foaming Auto Shampoo- Foamaster gun car wash

:dblthumb2:

Joel,

Citrus Wash Red is more concentrated than Citrus Wash N' Clear. I would not use Citrus Wash Red for maintenance, even at a higher dilution.

Thanks Mark. I only use Citrus Wash for stripping. Otherwise i've had a gallon of adams car wash for ever that i'm actually coming to the end to soon. so i'm researching towards my next purchase. :xyxthumbs:

Thank you!

Adam's is certainly a good car wash. I love me some Adam's produtcs. :D Specifically, the C&U Cleaner, Detail Spray, Glass Cleaner, and Quick Sealant. However, I like SN Born 2 Be Mild shampoo because it has good cleaning ability for a maintenance wash, good lubricity, LSP friendly, smells good, and dilutes 800:1!! Only downside some people may not like is it doesn't have any gloss enhancers. No big detail to me, as that's what I have Adam's Detail Spray for. :dblthumb2:

it's very interesting to hear you like adams products as there is such a large variation in how people feel about them.

I've known people who LOVE them and people who hate on them left and right.

I've even heard that all adams products are repackaged chem guys products.....

I've had good luck with them. Their detail spray is still my favorite.

I think some people tend to dislike Adam's because they're so hardcore. "Adamite's" tend to think that their products are leaps and bounds better than anything Non-Adam's, and if it's not made in America, forget about it! Bottom line, while they're on the expensive side, they're good products! As far as chem guys re-packaged, there may be a few products, but definitely not all of them. CG(or some other company) might make the products for Adam's, but I think Adam's has their own recipes.
