What causes micro marring?

Hi. After polishing and waxing my black car I have noticed micro marring when the car is in the sun. I use microfiber applicators to apply the polish, and a 600 gsm microfiber to buff the polish off. I think it may be my application or buffing off technique.
Can anyone advise what I could be doing wrong?

You probably have scratch sensitive(soft) paint. What kind of car and polish did you use? Polishes use abrasives to remove defects. Sometimes, the abrasives leave micro marring behind.

Its a skoda octavia. I've used autoglym srp followed by poorboys black hole.
