What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I would love to know if there is another povo-spec Ranger on the planet that gets the detailing care mine does.

I devote too much time keeping this thing clean, but it's not in my nature to leave it dirty.

It's been a wet week and combined with a trip to the muddy green-waste dump, it NEEDED it's bath this week.

I also took the opportunity to get the tires stripped clean and re-apply some dressing. Brake Buster un-diluted is excellent for this.

I'm a tire product junkie, today's fix was CarPro Perl un-diluted. I use an old Adam's pop-top on the bottle to make application easier.

I'm satisfied now! :D

I thought I posted this but apparently it didn't go through I decided to add some Klasse Sealant Glaze to the ES, I mean it's in my screen name and I haven't used it in FOREVER so why not! I'm liking the "wax on, wax off" way of doing it, pretty rewarding

I added some Adam's graphene tire dressing to finish it off properly

I LOVE IT!

Bought a 2nd bottle so I'm not out and IMO it's the best tire product on the market, period (for what my opinion is worth)

Any guesses what I did this weekend? After a 1700 mile round trip to Oxford MS with rain just about all the way back to Houston, it was time to clean up the Acura.

Standard multiple MF wash with DG901, quick hit with Megs D143 on the wheels and tires, and dried with GG PFM on Saturday morning.

I knew it was going to rain this week, so I didn’t dress the tires but...on Sunday I decided to throw a coat of Pinnacle Liquid Souverign Wax by hand on the car for no other reason than a little therapy!! It looked great sitting in the garage yesterday!!

Well, the clean-up following the 3 day/2,500 mile return trip took me about 24.5 hours spread over 4 days. Finished it tonight.

The process...

- A thorough bucket and hose wash job; Zero concern with being gentle
- Clay all painted surfaces and some chrome primarily to remove the residual bug remnants in addition to the standard bonded contaminants
- Polish w/Meguiar's 210, 1 & 3-inch rotary, 3-inch DA, and some hand polishing
- Hand apply Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax to painted surfaces
- Hand apply Meguiar's OTC Liquid Cleaner Wax and/or spray wax to all chrome
- Clean and condition all vinyl/plastic trim w/Meguiar's 40

This was my first full vehicle experience using M210 and wow was I impressed. It has a nearly infinite buffing cycle and finished out beautifully on this black Harley paint.

Before/After...

I started a new dedicated "Show-n-Shine" thread with more pics and details... After the Road Trip

Broke out the Nano again for one of the projects I got it for. My MINI has really soft black a pillars. Started out with yellow on yellow and wasn’t happy with the results. Tried blue on blue and it worked a treat. Was surprised how well it finished down. Still hate the bottles.

Also, I couldn’t figure out how to minimize the splatter on the blue pads. Ideas? Better yet solutions?

Finished it off with a bit of the CQuartz lite I had left. Figured a good long lasting LSP was a good idea with such soft bits so I won’t have to touch them as much.

I personally despise the blue pads and as far as slinging.....I think the best you can hope for is minor sling if luck is on your side

Had an hour to kill while waiting for my daughter Kendall's gymnastics class and it rained this morning coming to work and while at work, so why not make use of my time. We also stopped at 5 guys for dinner, had to work that sh!t off...and I did because the humidity was kicking my arse

Used DG WW to clean up the ES, even got in there BY HAND to get the barrels too. After I put my daughter to bed I'm getting in the shower

Also what I do is take a 5" or 6" pad, get a 1.25" whole punch, arbor press and I punch out my own pads for the Rupes Nano.

I can usually get 6 out of a full size pad.
Here are two examples of my Nano pads that I punched myself.
The yellow was made from the Rupes yellow pad and the green one is from Buff and Shine.

I have many many many self made pad options for the Nano

It is, even with the DCT I've been to the Dragon with it twice and it handles the curves great, the IRS soaks up every cambered turn It has an intake/axle-back to enhance the sound and performance

Cool! Looks like they make enough power to go high 14s in the 1/4? I know that’s not it’s meant for but that’s how I gauge the power.
