What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Cool! Looks like they make enough power to go high 14s in the 1/4? I know that’s not it’s meant for but that’s how I gauge the power.
Oh it should easily do that and I'd love to tune/upgrade the FMIC

So when I last posted I did a DG WW in the parking lot of my daughters gymnastics class. Literally as we pulled into the lot at home it started . The next morning the road was wet and once I got to work it was POURING! Funny thing was though, when I got off of work Tuesday the car wasn't dirty at all, LOL. Between self cleaning abilities and the downpour it did the trick. This morning I noticed it rained overnight so I knew I'd be washing the car after work...I got off @6:45! Well once it's in my mind that's it, let's do this

For the wash today I did a RW using my almost new grout sponge and TURTLE WAX RINSE FREE WASH AND WAX I have 2 bottles as someone sent them to me years ago (can't remember whom) I added 8 ounces to 3.5 gallons (directions said 4 oz-1 gallon) and it worked great! This stuff is as good as I remember and I can't understand why they stopped making it. I know it needs more product to use it but a great product is a great product. I'm sure the general public just didn't get it and it was drastically discounted when it went away, just like TW Endura tire coating...another AWESOME productI pre-treated every panel and moved around the car pretty quickly. I had a 2nd bucket to rinse/release the dirt and by the time I was done I was surprised at the amount of dirt, not bad but more than I thought.

I did a complete tire/wheel/well cleaning as well. Alien Kleen for the wells and Brake Buster for the tires/wheels and all brushes were called into service. Once dried I let them air dry and I moved onto the glass. For this i used my broken in Zap cloth and DG glass cleaner, wanted to see how it would do there. I'm happy to report the windows came out GREAT!

I finished up by adding some Adam's graphene tire dressing, light coat, vac'd out my floor mat and sprayed some CG's Black Frost onto the floor mat.

A clean car awaits me tomorrow morning when I head into work

Damn you, Roger.

I'm seriously doubting my credentials as a card-carrying Autogeek member with every post of yours.

My truck hasn't seen love in over 10 days!!

Two days ago I washed my car for the first time in a month. It was much needed. The backseats had ice cream drippings from my kids, the entire car needed a vacuum, the wheels were filthy, and birds think my car is their bathroom. The paint is coated w Blackfire Black Edition Pro Ceramic and most bugs, tar and bird bombs came off without much effort. . Of course its raining out now. But at least I get to enjoy the beads, lol.

Cleaned up wife's car after 3800 miles of road trip muck.

PPF and Ceramic made it easy and left perfection once again.

Finally used Ech2o as a rinseless. Did 1.5 oz to 2 gallons. Worked pretty well. Slick and left a really shiny car behind.

Good thing we haven't had any real rain for a while then? :D
Looks good.
Question, what's under the hood of that beast?

While waiting for dinner, I applied the second coat of CQuartz Lite to my a pillars. I also got some of the Gtechniq C5 that Guz sent me and applied it to the supercharger on my MINI.

Very windy here today, so windy that in addition to the extra layer of dust on the ES, a was blown off coarse and made a deposit! I grabbed my gallon of Feynlab RW made up as a WW and filled up my 1000ML Kwazzer and cleaned it off...as well as the entire ESI applied a very light coat of Adam's graphene tire dressing and called it an evening.

...oh yeah, I'm running a load of mf towels right now, 25 minutes to go Also I've been listening to my Spotify playlist called "Get the Led out" (how original) Right now "The Crunge" is on...where's that confounded bridge?

I also ordered the just released TWHS interior detailer and leather conditioner. When I put the 2nd item in the cart I got free shipping. Because Turtle Wax is local I'll be getting it tomorrow, just in time for the weekend

I did a pre-sale detail on this Hyundai i30 (Elantra Sport) today.

The cars owner is one of my boss's. (For those who find it a challenge dealing with one boss, well I have three! Navigating that minefield is well, lets say, has it's plus's and minus's. )

The owner is NOT a car guy and definitely finds my detailing proclivities frankly confusing. The car has about 27,000 miles on it and I dare say there are parts of this vehicle that have never been cleaned in that time.

Used Brake Buster straight up to cut through 5 years of neglect.

Note that I still managed to get in some Ford branding,

All done and now ready for sale.

Circling back to this post from last month, the car was sold earlier this week.

It was purchased by a guy as a first car for his daughter. I'm told the young lass was out delighted with it and was out washing it the next morning. The disease is spreading far and wide!

The detail on this car was what made it stand out from all the rest and ultimately got it sold.

I've abused the ES for days, it's been sitting there collecting dust and whatever else, so this morning it was time to get after it!

I started with the rims using Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner and 3 brushes. My wheel cleaning bucket had leftover TW RW in it, so brushes were soaking in it and helped with cleaning

Next up was the wash and since it was just dusty and had some tree/twig bits a good foaming was all that was needed. For this I reached for Adam's graphene carwash w/ a squirt of AMMO winter wash in my CG's foam gun. I emptied the entire contents, let it dwell for 5 minutes and rinsed off. The beading left behind was amazing, surely a combination of the soap and my current LSP which is KSG

I then used free flowing water to rinse down the beads. Once done I grabbed P&S Paint Gloss as a drying aid and actually finished the bottle. I bought this product due to it attracting less dust compared to Beadmaker. I have to say that because I stay ontop of my car I never noticed the issue with Beadmaker. I'll continue to use Beadmaker till I'm out but I also like Paint Gloss, decisions, decisions
