What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I think I only put 500 miles on it last year. Usually one oil change and one wash per year.

500 miles in a year...1 wash

So my g/f got me a couple gift cards for Auto Zone for Christmas, so my daughter and I did a little shopping after buying some Powerball tickets. I decided on this one as Derek0609 passed down his CG's foam gun down to me years ago when he upgraded to a foam cannon. The draw tube didn't stay on but I always got it work, so perfect time for an upgrade

It's warm today (55F in the garage) but rainy. Did a rinseless wash in the garage. Then clayed using Griot's clay and speed shine. Didn't drop the clay :) Then put on the first coat of Griot's ceramic 3-in-1. I've waxed my car every day of the year so far :) Second coat tomorrow.

Also used the Griot's creeper. The wheels on that thing are smooth.

I am the snow blower, LOL The landlord pays me $20 everytime it snows. I shovel the sidewalk infront and the walkway/2 steps and short porch. Little workout to pay for my spring detailing supplies, shopping for CarPro Retyre right now, thanks Sandro

Sounds like a wonderful day. Congrats sir!

Lowest temperatures and most snow in awhile but for anyone who has seen the news, Colorado will take it after Thursday's fires.

That said, I still got to use my heavy duty enzyme cleaner today to clean the baby changing station pad...no pictures but I think you might appreciate that.

Yea. PB is getting nuts again. Played also. Got a decent New years eve surprise. $100 on a $10 scratch off. That PB could make someone a great start to 2022!

Continuing to work through the fleet, the XR8's turn today.

Popped the bonnet after the wash and imdeiately noticed something was WRONG...................

The car was serviced before Christmas, if this is the only thing dealer technician did wrong, I guess I'm lucky.

With that disaster quickly resolved, I will sleep easy tonight.

Detailing my favorite wheels, it doesn't get much better than this!

Back to spec and ready to covered back up.........

Do you use straight town water or do you have a filter system set up?

How is that OG drying aid???

As many would know, the OG Drying Aid is a re-brand of B&B Slipstream (Xtreme Solutions Topper) with the scent and color removed.

I have a multitude of drying aids that I cycle through. OG D/A is very similar in consistency and color to CarPro EliXir but much easier to work with. I quite like it for it's no-smear finish and use-anywhere ability, however it's not a game changer.
