What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finally got around to giving my car a proper foam bath after redoing my coating and I must say that Gyeon Syncro performs much better than my old Adam’s Graphene Advanced coating. The water beading is on another level compared to Adam’s. It also reminded me just how therapeutic car washing can be.
That first wash is sooooo rewarding

Never got out of bed this morning. LOL. So hot afternoon detail on the truck. Finished with TWHSWW. And Wolfstiens tonneau cover protectant. Good to go.

After a 90 degree day it cooled down enough to do a touch-less wash on the EN to free it of tree debris and some sap Mist, the usual

Tonight it was 3 oz of Griot's Garage Brillant Shine snow foam in the Griot's Garage foam gun. Just foam/dwell/flush....done

Now it's "hopefully" clean when I leave for work tomorrow morning

Just an interior detail this time around.

It was hard to get into pictures just how dirty this interior was. These pics don’t do it justice.

I got to try the Scrub Ninja Scrub Mitt for the 1st time.

At 1st I wasn’t sure what to make of it. I think a big part of it was due to using a dry microfiber to wipe up after it. [user experience is terrible that way]

But once I tried a couple of different ways, including cotton terry towels & damp microfiber towel things got much better.

I will say that I was expecting it to have more cleaning ability than it does, I can see this being more ideal for maintenance cleaning than disaster detailing jobs. For leather it’s adequate since there’s only a certain level of aggressiveness you can reach, but on vinyl the Scrub Ninja is no match for Magic Eraser.

It's been a month so it was time to give the Qashqai a wash. It had been out in the rain a couple of times, but it was still remarkably clean, only the sides behind the wheels, and the rear were showing any dirt.

The wheels looked ok but after spraying with Bowden's Wheely Clean, well, you can see in the pic below.

Used Reset in a 2B wash for the rest. It cleans so easily and feels so slippery, definitely my favourite wash product.

I sheeted most of the water off and moved it back into the garage, then dried using Ech2o, this time with what I'd call general purpose MF, it worked really well, much better than using the MF that Bowden recommends for use with their drying aid (After Glow).

I might apply some more protection later tonight, I've got about half a bottle of Concours Crystal Seal Energise, a product that's no longer available, but I suspect it is a lot like NV Lustre. It's already on the hood, I had to QD some bird crap off the other day, and thought I'd test this almost 9 year old product out on the freshly cleaned hood. The last pic is the beading it produced after washing and rinsing, impressive for something sitting on the shelf so long.

Ric, I'm surprised you don't have that model of Cadillac I kno2 they're older but out by you they don't rust, hell you could find one in AZ or FLA even, retirement communities

Either way, that came out great, I'm sure the owner will be happy

Funny thing about the owner… I agreed to give him a ride back home a few minutes away across town. When he dropped the car off I told him to go ahead and roll the windows up and he said “ahh it’s ok, no worries” I’m like you sure? Ok, lets go.

When we get to his house I ask for the keys and he says “the keys are in the car” I said, the keys are in the car?! Man you sure got alot of confidence don’t ya?! Lol. He’s like yea they’re under the seat.

Now I usually drive pretty slow… But I was haulin ass back to my house trying to get back to that car with it’s windows down and the keys inside of it.lol. Tryin to set me up or what?lol.

Washed the EN after work today and just drove away only to spot dry at a park near my daughters daycare, nice shady spot.

I used TWHS Pure Shine on it and DAMN does this product produce GLOSS

The carwash subscription really comes into play this week...Tue 90, Wed 96 and Thursday!!

Ordered Kamikaze Collection Cleansing. Almost purchased latest Overcoat but held off.

Ran the EN through the touch-free wash after work and topped up the tires with Griot's Garage Ceramic tire dressing.

I'm going to contact the people from the carwash and down grade my subscription to a wash w/o the underbody wash I'm hopes that it doesn't hurt that knock sensor again. The fact remains its a bad design and they (Hyundai) need to come up with something, recall tye cars and make it right

8 weeks ago I had rotator cuff surgery to fix two full tears. Today I helped my buddy polish out his '62 Vette, handed down from his father, who purchased it in the 70's. The paint is 40 year old enamel, still looking fantastic, just needing some buffing. Years of scratches were lessened with the owner on the "Pixie" & myself on a "CBeast" using Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. Following up with 3D Speed rubbed with a "Finisher".

My arm feels great. Still healing and regaining more mobility. I cannot lift high so panel vans are out!

Paul's learning techniques, test panels, 8 count, etc.

The hood had a lot of cloudiness from hand polishing.
