What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

[yesterday] I detailed this 2003 BMW.
Quik polish with HD Speed.

What is going on with those windshield wipers Ric?

First time I've ever seen anyone using those ^^^^ hose, non pinching devices that one places at your tires. They seem like a good idea as the hose does get wedged there if one doesn't pay attention when moving around with the hose.

Thought about getting them as they are reasonably priced but it just one more item to get out and put away.

I recall a Pan video where he was pitching them and saying how great they are. But then I noticed he never used them in any subsequent videos. What a BSer. Just another piece of Pan BS and there are those that buy his BS.

I guess Eldo likes them, myself I just use some lasso tricks with the hose.

Nothing pisses me off more when I'm washing a vehicle than when the pressure hose gets hung up under tires.
To quote Val Kilmer from "Real Genius"....."there are some excellent decaffeinated blends on the market"...or something like that.

Decided to do a rinseless wash on the Tacoma today. Outdoor temp at wash time 29 degrees. Temp inside the garage 52 degrees. Hadnt been washed since before Christmas as temps have not been above freezing since then. Going to be below freezing for next 12 days with the exception of 2 of those days and those 2 look like rain. So thought today was a good day.

So i decided to try a rinseless in the garage. My truck easily fits in the garage but a little tight for washing. Used Optimum Hyper Foam for everything, even wheels and tires. Used my all Optimum home brew drying aid on paint, glass, wheels.

Thought about trying a quick wash outdoors but would have added to the frozen water on the driveway. Ive polished and waxed in the garage but never washed in there. Used my little one gallon pump sprayer for the presoak, etc due to some tight areas. Had to raise the door when spraying and washing the tailgate, etc. The Tacoma wasnt filthy as ive tried to avoid driving it when the roads were covered but definitely needed the wash.

Pretty much the same as washing outdoors but just took a little longer as was trying to just presoak the truck and not the rest of the stuff inside the garage and kind of tight on drivers side. Floor was pretty wet and had to sweep out some water afterwards. Letting the floor dry a little right now before I pull the Tacoma back inside.
Have temporary garage spot for the Tacoma as my wife has been staying at her mom's house for a bit as her mom just got out of hospital. That spot is usually occupied by her CRV in the winter but the Mustang lives in that same spot April-November.

Well between the 1st and 2nd game I decided to take the EN through the touch-free wash...no problems, this is going to take some time to get the code to trip, 2nd knock sensor lasted 6 monthes...stay "tuned"

These may seem dumb, but I bought some and even though you kind of shake your head "did I just buy those?"
I use them when polishing with a machine (corded polishers here) and the odd wash. When your going with a cord/hose and see them work your like "huh, they really do work" and chuckle a bit. 😄

I’ve got a set but I’m too lazy to put then in place when I wash. Then I get mad at myself every time when the hose gets caught under the tires. An ounce of prevention………….

Well still had a little detailing itch. Just finished spraying my paint with TEC 582. It was already mixed up 1:1 as I had it mixed for a drying aid but it still made the paint pretty slick.
Good till next wash. Next wash maybe put some Powerlock on to get me to the end of winter.

Never thought of them for that. I've got a corded also and it always get wedged in the front tires. Wouldn't need them for the rear. Would i use them for a wash? Maybe, but for the polisher sure.

Wolfgang Rinseless Washed a week of salt and grime off her.

Trying to use up DiY V1 and Absolute. Told myself I gotta use up before I order anything else.

Dirty so did a hybrid wash. Foamed with Touchless rinsed with HydroShot.

Tried using Ammo Frothe Salt as a pretreat but too foamy. Frothe the rest of the side then just rinseless wit. DIY. DIY didn’t do a good job if being honest. Left dirt streaks.

Car was really dirty but other rinsless didn’t need a second go. Light coating of Frothe and wipe down with GG Ceramic speed shine for drying aid

Forgot how good this is. Anyone who’s used this and Amplify is Anplify significantly better?

That was the flex light pick doesn’t do it justice it worked really well.
