What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Have you tried Mega snow job the alkaline one from Bowden's Own
I use it on the Amarok, paint, wheel wells etc just be careful around black plastic trim. 100ml to 900ml water in foam cannon.
I've used the original Snow Job, but I didn't have a good cannon back then, so I never got great foam from it. If I went back to something it'd probably be Carpro Lift or NV Snow.

I tried Carpro Lift and found BO to pack a little more punch imo.
I can get a away with touch less washing with the right LSP.

The last one I bought was Eclipse Hyper Foam from Repco ($20 for 2L). It seemed to work fine, but I noticed it left a bit of a burn mark on the grass where the foam dripped off. So I decided to only use it on the driveway, and I knew a lot of mud was coming off the FJ this time, so I wanted to do it on the grass, which made Reset the choice this time.

Mud removal, went with ONR, some brushes, and an old MF, used Bowden's Fabracadabra on the seat cover. Applied Nextzett Cockpit Premium on the trim when I was done.

This shot was before I reapplied the Cockpit Premium, shows just how much it darkens the trim.

Bowden probably has some of the best names in the game.

Took the TAOS to the touch-free wash, no pre-wash, just the normal, I did gas beforehand though which was the main reason for going there.

Making up excuses….. it’s getting bad

I conducted the winter session of my “detailing school.” A coworker was kind enough to donate her car to allow me to use it as a training vehicle to begin teaching my mentee paint enhancement for beginners. This vehicle was the perfect test subject. The color hides a lot of defects until you get up close and personal. Scratched to hell, oxidized clear coat, grime in all of the seams, iron contamination; all the typical things you see with vehicles that live and die by tunnels washes. We took about 2.5 hours and managed to clean, decontaminate, polish and apply CanCoat.

Supposedly this Civic was washed about 6 weeks ago. You be the judge.

The left side is the oxidized paint and the right is after polishing. There’s still some water spots but the goal was to add gloss and remove the fine scratches.

Whoever recommended the Flex PXE I owe you one. The accessory kit made short work of those door handle scratches.

Didn’t plan on doing anything to the headlights but I tried Griot’s FCC just to see if it could make a difference and all it took was bout 5 minutes to remove 95% of the hazing.

For a 14 year old, this is impressive work. There are still plenty of scratches but to the untrained eye they are damn near invisible. The customer was more than pleased.

Did you use the cable attachment that has a mini “dremel” at the end? If so is it the flex one?

Funny you say that, I don't remember much about the times I used Lift, other than the foam was good, but that can be explained by me finally using a proper foam canon.
I never noticed anything special about lift

IT OFFICIAL...it will be a World Tour Carwash. In the spirit of the 4Nations hockey tournament I'll be using products from the following 4Nations:

-USA
-ITALY
-ENGLAND
-Australia

(could have some reserves show up)

Stay "tuned"

I don't know about the car washing aspects but from a hockey perspective I like USA's chances against those 3 much more than I did against Canada! 🏒🇨🇦

That whole show was a waste and money grab. Good for the NHL to find a viable All-Star alternative but every club with playoff hopes and players involved was holding their collective breath. I couldn't imagine paying a guy millions to have him hurt in this mostly hyped up irrelevant sideshow. Hockey politics aside...

I'm guessing BH, Labo and NV must be the foreign brands that'll be in use? I'm intrigued

Your all over it, just trying to make the post more interesting...with some other "helpers" showing up to do other tasks

Nope. Just the straight rod that came with the accessory kit.

I got a mini cable attachment for from Coatic. I haven’t really used but have played around. I think it’s gonna be used a lot and a lot cheaper than flex’s

Rinseless with Absolute of my wife’s Navigator after the trip in the freezing fog last week. Used the leftover Absolute on a towel to do the interior of my son’s Maverick. Not sure if the Adam’s uv interior ceramic was still good (was hoping to).
