What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

No time last night for that wash so I did it this morning, mid-morning after we put our little one down for a nap.

I used the CG's Glossworkz for the pre-wash but it doubled as the actual wash. I foamed, let it dwell, rinsed and.....and then sprayed Griot's Garage Poly Gloss on the car, it's been staring at me for weeks as I reach for Beadmaker, gotta keep everyone happy

Obviously I've used the Griot's Garage Poly Gloss before but the stuff is just amazing. Using my 1.5 IK foamer it dispenses the product out properly, what an experience when used together. Once it's on there it begins to cling itself to the paint, hard to describe. During the application and dwell time you take in the smell, oh the smell...

Upon rinsing it off the beading is crazy, the smell is still there too, I can still smell it as I sit here next to the car and do this post. The Sucker and Griot's Garage waffle weave towel (for the glass) make short work of drying the car, like I said, GREAT EXPERIENCE

Did a prep wipe with Gyeon prep on the wife’s ride. Man that stuff smells so good. Wow see.

Then got out IGL Premier. Put it on the entire car minus some of the hood. Took closer to 5 min to flash/haze as they say before I could buff off. Temps are low and no heat in the garage. Maybe 40’s-50’s in there. Anyways it went on well and gloss levels are up. Going to do another coat in a bit.

Put IGL on the right side of hood, straight down from washer fluid nozzle.

Put beadmaker in the center between the washer fluid nozzles. Not impressed with my bottle. It leaked more out than it sprayed. Smells damn amazing though. Definitely does what it says and gets the slickness up.

Black fire sio2 spray on the right side and fender top from left of washer nozzle. Same as IGL as far as application. It’s red and smell isn’t great but it’s not iron remover either. For you sensitive folks you may want a mask.

Will see how these 3 do against one another. I think it will be IGL, BF sio2, beadmaker in that order as far as durability. Good thing I have lots of cars to play with

Thanks and enjoy.

Oh and merry Christmas from Casper, WY

Sorry about your sprayer, cheap ones are hit or miss. Easy fix, transfer another sprayer in the bottle or just switch to a new bottle/sprayer

Welcome to the club!

You'll never need to swap out to the green tip/hose, trust me. It comes with the gray one but the orange one works even better!

I cleaned my floor mats with McKee's 37 floor mat rejuvenator. The camera flash made them look a bit "washed out". I love this product. Thanks Nick!

Assembled the Xmas gifts. Got a IK foam 9 all put together and swapped to the orange office tube at KA recommendation.

Also built my Speed master tool rack. Pretty simple and should serve me well.

Then picked up the garage and organized the detailing stuff. Man I need to build some shelving and get a cabinet for my stuff. Can’t wait for warmer weather to be able to have the door open and detailing more frequent

IGL Ecocoat Premier will outlast BF by a wide margin. BF lasted me 2 weeks and IGL is still going after 4 months!

I splurged on IGL Premier and plan on applying it come spring, looking forward to seeing how this "new to us" product line works out!

34 degrees was a little too cold for the hose and 2 bucket wash, so the Buick got a good rinse with the Worx Hydroshot and then a rinseless wash with Wolfgang Uber. My wife called me cuckoo for washing the car in the cold. That may be true but she will go to work tomorrow with the best looking car in the parking lot. Who is cuckoo now?

I decided to wipe down the interior with Mckee's fast interior detailer, I really like this product, like it so much that with my recent larger order I added a fresh bottle so I wouldn't run out in the future. While I was down in the garage I also used the Mckee's fast interior detailer on the outside, in particular my lower grill, side intercooler grills and rear valance panel. I mean these are plastic pieces so I can't see what it would hurt, had it in my hand and just wanted to keep going (I'm sure you guys understand, LOL)

I also applied a fresh coat of tire dressing, this time it was Gyeon Q2 Tire, a very light coat was all that was needed here as I have a separate applicator for each of my dressings, so it's already pre-treated!

Now the car sits till Friday when I go back to work, still noticed dust after going to and from work on a clean car, I just don't understand this salt dust, can it really be hangin' around a month later

I've finished working on a charcoal metallic 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee that a dealer monkey butchered with a rotary. I used 'old school' Menzerna products (PO83Q, PO85U & PO85RD) along with LCCC pads (orange, white, grey). I tried to take pics but doing close-ups in the highly lit up environment didn't lend itself to my amateur photography skills.

Warm enough to do a wash and I had a itch to try some of my new to me products. Been doing the interior with McKess interior detailer till I can do a full interior come spring. Did do a engine detail today. Sonax engine cleaner followed with Sonus motor kote. The new to me...

Pinnacle glass cleaner with rain repel. Nice product. Did all exterior glass with it. No streaks or smears. Will see how strong the repel side of it is.

McKess headlamp protectant spray. Hit the lamps with it. Used a MF. No issues or drama. Left them looking great.

Ultima screen protectant. Got this for the touch screen. Nice MF included. This product really shined. Left the screen very clean and smudge free.

Griots aerosol satin shine. Interesting tire shine product. It does indeed have a nice sprayer. And the product did not run or streak. Appeared to dry after some time. Sling? Don`t know yet. Finish is nice looking. Great alt. for off road tires. This product was given to me to try out by fly07sti. Thanks again.

That’s pretty depressing about the BF Sio2. Was hoping it would do at least 2 months. Guess I will try and use it on the work truck to get it used up. Then I can go to beadmaker and IGL. I was impressed with IGL. I did 2 sprays in the microfiber on small/average sized panels and 3 for larger ones. Think her roof was 6 total. Hopefully it adhered well as it was cooler in the garage so it never really hazed. I just let it sit for 3-5 minutes and then buffed in/off. We shall see.

Beadmaker though. Wow that got super slick. Can’t tell on the gloss in the garage, need more light. Hoping I don’t have to do anything for a month on the hood but it’ll get topped with One of the 3 so no worries.

Ended up finishing the interior of dad’s car

Corrected the interior trim with 3D One using the Rupes Ibrid nano and a Buff & Shine euro fiber pad.

Coated with some leftover 22ple VX Pro2. Will top it with Finitura to see about this claim of improving scratch resistance on glass coatings by over 500%.
