What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Totally different product from Slick. Lasts about two weeks for me. I could still tell that slick was there, even after almost four weeks after application.
I still like Eco Touch, though.

Yeah Slick is very good product, one of the few in my collection, along with Gyeon Q2 Tire, that work well with my Blizzaks.

I'll be doing a wash in about an hour and a half and I'll show the before and after with no dressing applied to show how Slick looks under all that shot that's on there, stay "tuned"

So per my conversation with MadMerc, here's my wash from tonight and in particular, the tires.

I used AMMO NYC Frothe+ w/ winter booster, the car was dirty from the salt dusting from the weekend and an all day rain yesterday, drove in it to and from work too. It's been a while since I used this to wash the car because I bought this mainly for road trips for even safer washing. That said, it's nice to mix it up and use such a unique product.

The 1st pic is the dirty wheel, nasty! The 2nd pic is after cleaning the wheel with CG's Sticky Citrus and spraying AMMO NYC Frothe+ w/ winter booster on the tires and scrubbed w/ Morhers tire and wheel brush and then dried. What's left is Slick and IMO holding up just fine, just goes to show you what can actually be under all that sh/t on your tires from driving in the rain!

Last pic is an unnecessary overall shot, time for bed....Zzzzzz

Hopefully this is right side up lol,
I was going through .y box of Pictures last night at home and that for is real to close to what my 92 Mitsubishi Eclipse was:laughing:

While dropping off a big bag of books at the local public library one of the local flying turd dispensers unloaded on my CLEAN passenger side doors and windows. When I got to the office I got out my Detail Spray and Costco MF towel and cleaned all 5 spots off. I tossed the towel in the dumpster as I didn’t want ‘that’ hanging out in my car. Of course I got the comments when I came in about “do my car next.”

Wait ‘til spring when I plan on rinseless washing it at lunch time in the parking lot. ;)

I thought I was the only one. I love when it’s a nice cooler day and I have no errands to run at lunch, waterless wash time. Lol

I love it. You don't have to wait until spring for the rinseless wash. As long as it is above freezing, go ahead. I bring my portable detailing supplies when I am on the road. I had a problem this week when my usual hotel shut off the water to outside spigot.

Thanks. Sanded with 1500 and then 3000. Then used my Griots garage RO and Meguiar’s 105 then 205. Then coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light.

I had an itch so I waxed the car again just now with the new wax I got.

I did a N914 WW this evening, pretty dusty...so dusty it was showing these weird dust patterns, had to get after it! I've said it once and I'll say it again...Mckee's N914 is THE best waterless wash on the market, period!! When you want and/or need a pure clean due to having a coating, THIS is the ticket. I'm not telling you guys something you didn't already know but if a noob sees this they'll get turned on to this incredible product.

If you have N914 and haven't used it in a while, grab it, use it and enjoy it

I find it crazy you like echo for rinseless and N914 for waterless.

Why?

Ech2o is thicker and mixes great in gallons of water, I go 2 oz per 4 gallons of water for RW duty, the extra is for pre-mix. I've been doing the GD method for quite some time but the Aqua sponge works great too, been a while since I've used that method.

N914 for WW is a breeze, finishes out so clean. When spraying it has slight bubbles and once a panel is sprayed and you wipe the mf towel across it it just dries clean behind it, leaving a clean surface, so easy to use. I've used N914 as a RW before but make the mix stronger because it's so clear, just messes with my head, so I'd probably go 3 oz of N914 to 4 gallons of water.

Any further questions feel free to ask, others will learn from it as well

^ ^ second this.

Those seats were disgusting. Interested in what you used.

Nice job by the way!

What was your process/tools/chemicals to clean that mess?
Well the products we use aren't available to the public but you would first steam the seats using a APC, upholstery cleaner, and a spotter together. Then you take a carpet extractor and pull up the first layer of dirt. Then you take your upholstery cleaner/APC spay on seats then using a brush tool (Powered or by hand) shampoo the seats. Then use your carpet extractor to pull the additional dirt out of the seats. Last do one final steam with APC and extraction....that's it.
