What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finally got around to correcting the paint of the Genesis and discovered this paint is very hard. It laughed at GG FCC on a white Griots pad, but 3D one on the white pad did wonders to the paint! After 20 mins of testing the pad, polisher, and product mix this paint came to life! I'll be sad when it leaves on June 9th.

Is 3D one an AIO? Does it have more abrasives than FCC?

Thanks

Not sure if it has more abrasives than FCC, but the paint definitely reacted better to it than FCC. I did wipe the panels with Gyeon Prep to make sure nothing was hidden and to help remove 3D one, and it did remove more defects than FCC, but it is a pita to remove.

3D one is not an AIO.

It is an adaptive product with no protection left behind.

Washed my car and the Jeep. Finished the Jeep too late to get a pic as it was dark out but mine is garage kept so here's the gratuitous glossy pic with a Merlin shot showing a reflection off the hood thrown in for good measure :)

Did a mild engine bay area clean up. It was rough. Pretty much 18-19 years worth of dirt built up on everything and the hoses are just plain older and faded/etched with dirt. I've not yet tackled the underside of the hood but that shouldn't be too bad. I'll try and do that at the next wash. At least there I can cover the engine bay with plastic to keep what I have done clean and water out of where it doesn't belong.

Not perfect but it's 200% better and not bad for 30 minutes of cleaning. Not sure if it will ever match the exterior but I'm working on it. Next go-round I'll do small sections at a time.

Washed the car yesterday. Set up the pressure washer, 303 rubber cleaner on the tires and wheel brightened sprayed on and pressure washed off the wheels.

Hyper wash in the bucket, paint cleaned up easy. Decided to try sonax spray and seal, which I enjoyed using. Little bit seemed to go a real long way when I was rinsing.

Came out today and decided to wipe it down and dress the tires before I head off to a funeral in an hour. Dressed the tires with VRP diluted 1:1 and a flagged tip brush. Stuff smells so freaking good.

Really enjoy applying tire shine with the brush. It makes a task that usually annoyed me (when using an applicator pad) very quick and easy.

Put a fresh layer of McKee's 37 glass coating on the front and rear of the Jeep. May go out and do the same on my car next as it sees more wiper on time than the Jeep has.

Just did a quickie wash with Optimum Car Wash. Warm and cloudy after work, and the truck had so much pollen on it, I just had to.

I still can NOT decide which I like more. The OCW, or Meg's Hyper Wash.

Guess I'll just have to keep buying them both. Lol

FNW coming soon...IGL Premier thoughts after almost 1 week on the car too....stay "tuned"!
