I spent the day fixing the dealer's abuse. I have no idea what they wash these cars with, but good lord the clear was horrific. Nothing GG FCC cant fix. Topped it off with Infinity Wax Syngery Wax. Ehh it is ok. I'll most likely strip it and try something else.![]()

Wow, that much mud from 3 weeks. I can see how that would keep you up at night. When I was at the local spray wash removing the excess mud from my wheel arches, the guy was shovelling out the dirt trap under one of the wash bays, there must have been about 50 or 60 litres in the bin he was using. It's been very wet here recently, every dirt road is actually a mud road at the moment. Too much fun.Day Off Detailing!
The Ranger got a pretty thorough interior and exterior detail today, cleaning away three weeks worth of road grime and mud.
I can't have this, I just wouldn't sleep at night!!
Out with the gear for a therapy session.
The tray even got a scrubbing!
And because I am a complete nut job, the wheel center caps got some attention too.
Not pictured, the interior was cleared of mud, plastics treated with 303 and the glass cleaned.
All done. Almost a shame to put it too work tomorrow!

You’d die living where I do. I get more mud after 100’ of driving down the dirt road I live off if it had rained within 12 hours. But that ranger is the cleanest work truck I’ve ever seen. It’s ready for the operating room, that’s how sterile it looks lol.
Thought you might like this, picked it up today for my collection. View attachment 70003I wasnt 100% happy with the results of my initial detail, so I decided to back with a GG polishing pad and apply Xtreme Solutions Foam Pad Polishing Glaze and it really brought the color to life. It brought out amazing gloss and life is good again.
I also tried Griots Garage Tire Shine. Holy Gloss Batman! It is glossy, perhaps too glossy for me, so I will be wiping it down before I drive it again.
Happy Father's Day to all of the Fathers!![]()

Oh, and to keep it on topic, I cleaned my exterior glass using some home mixed glass cleaner, mixed about 10% washer additive with distilled water, seems to work better than the store bought stuff.

It's way too hot to do any detailing down here right now unless you have an air conditioned garage. And that temp doesn't begin to address the Florida humidity.
