What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

How long did you let it set up, UD?

I have actually found that the longer you let 845 set up, the easier it is to remove. (Unlike 476!)
Well Paul, #476 is called double coat and as you know "'thin is in" with that one, as well as #915. That said, I never had an issue removing any of them but yet the narrative would always be how hard it was to remove! This short changed the 2 hard pastes from Collinite

Oh hell yeah.

But even in the thinnest coat possible, 476 takes a bit of muscle if left to sit for let's say 30 minutes. Not impossible to remove, but certainly no walk in the park. Not like 845.

I replaced the just over 3yo battery yesterday and gave my car its 1st wash in over a month.

About 20 minutes. It was easy to remove because I applied a thin layer.

Not that a 6 month old; lightly driven engine is going to be a dirty mess and I have wiped it down quickly prior, but I decided to do a little preemptive engine care/detailing today. The engine was not terribly dirty, so it did not need a major cleaning, I used a simple quick rinseless wash and applied this product to the entire engine. KOCH CHEMIE - Motorplast. Simple spray on and let dry.

Cleaned and coated the engine hood's painted underside. Rinsed the car, did a RR wash with Griots BRW, followed by Fictech's car sealant.

Wife’s navigator still... on the front bumper and full rear ended I:

Used ferrous dueller
Clayed with Meg’s pro mild and Dodo juice clay lube
Polish with PC, LC hydrotech red 3” pad, and Mezerna SF 4000
And applied my first coat of CQuartz Lite. Gotta catch my breath and wait the minimum hour to get the second on.

That’ll complete coating except for ‘gulp’ the roof. Pulling out in the sun helped a lot finding high spots.

Finally started driving the RAM since being polished and then protected with Meguiar's Hybrid Paint Coating.

Put the coating on everything but glass and tires.

Glass received Gtechniq G1 on windshield and Gtechniq G5 on the rest.

Tires have Meguiar's Hyper-Dressing on them.

I agree.

Chrysler, I mean FCA, I mean Stelantis.... has always had great paint. Right in the middle or a tad closer to the hard side. No games with thinning, etc.

And their metallic paint is pretty nice. I wanted Granite Crystal on this one and had to work hard to find this truck in this color.

I had a Fiat 500 Abarth before the ES and it was metallic black and I loved it. In certain light, you could see a brown to it even, crazy

Yeah your color though, pics probably don't do it quite the justice I bet

No they really do not translate digitally what the eyes see in person.

Maybe after the next wash I'll pull out the A7RIV and see if that does a better job.

No it looks good in the pic I'm looking at but like you said, nothing beats inperson

Yeah I was picking up what you were putting down.

I must have taken a dozen pictures with the iPhone 12 and none of them really show what the truck looks like in person. I picked the best two to post.

I'm about to do my 1st ever Feynlab RW on the ES...after dinner Dinner tonight is pork chop marinated in teriyaki marinade topped with mango/habanero/pineapple spread, sweet potato w/butter and cinnamon and a slice of garlic cheese bread

Just incase you wanted to know Paul

Did a 2 bucket wash with Griot's Wash & Coat. First time using it. Not very much cleaning power but it did add nice beading.
