Got a little something I’ve been working on. Will post up once this job is all done. Black is always fun they say…

Can’t wait to see how you make those drywall seams sparkle!

I started this weeks therapy proceedings with a rinse-less wash of the Ranger.

After the wash, I cleaned the glass with True Vue and the interior wiped over with CarPro InnerQD. Very much an express service for the Ranger today.

Onto the XR6 for a more traditional wash. And yes, it did indeed need a wash, sporting 36 days worth of dust and a rouge bird dropping.

Used Gyeon Bathe to mix things up a bit.......

Used Hydrate as a drying aid which is best used on a damp towel. Being very much like a moisturizer in consistency, this product is so weird but certainly works well. The scent of Hydrate is odd, hard to explain but certainly not the fruity aroma that accompanies most detailing products. I'm not sure if this is a scent or the natural aroma of the product itself, almost like a weak degreaser smell. Again, very odd.

Glass was seen to with CarPro Clarify, the interior wiped down with ONR, the rubber mats given a wipe down with CarPro Perl and the wheels wiped over with Bead Maker.

Tires dressed and ready to be put back under its cover.

Three more working days and I'm on leave, not that I'm counting.........:D

Have a client’s Cadillac CT5-V. Black on black.

Extra Tough APC for engine bay
Adams Total Interior Cleaner
Stoner Invisible Glass
Adams Strip Wash
P&S Brake Buster
P&S Iron Buster
Newruiheng Clay Bar w/ Meguiar’s Quick Detailer
Rupes LHR 15 MKIII
Rupes LHR75E
Rupes Yellow Wool Pads
The Last Cut +
Rupes Yellow Foam Pad
Sonax Perfect Finish
Armor Shield IX on paint, lights, and windows
Griot’s 3 in 1 Ceramic Wax for wheels
Meguiar’s Endurance Gel for tires

Interior is kept in great condition by the client. Just a wipe down, glass cleaning, and vacuum and it’s a wrap. Paint was swirled to hell and back, but she came out nice. About a 90+% defect removal.

I couldn’t stand it any longer

I spent $30 at the 25 cent car wash

It’s not clean enough to risk towels and a drying aid but at least I’m not embarrassed to be seen in it

I finished cleaning the dash and console with Express and got it wiped down with 2 coats of 303 because the vinyl seemed very “dry”

Today I started on vacuuming the back seat floors and upholstery before taking a break for the car wash

It’s slowly coming along

Newruiheng Clay Bar w/ Meguiar’s Quick Detailer

Man, beautiful results

I had to look up that clay brand

How is that working out for you?

Thanks.

I got it off Amazon. First time using it, and it did the job I guess. It’s more pliable than Meguiar’s clay which I normally use so I liked how easy it was to work with. There really weren’t many imbedded contaminants so I can’t say for sure how it would compare side by side with Meguiar’s.

Finally got around to using CanCoat.

What did you think about it?

Really nice product to use. No issues at all. For as easy as it is to use, the hydrophobics and durability it's tough to beat. I can see why so many like it. I used it on plastic trim too.

Nope.
I really like this product, it last long and I mean long.

Does this product contain silicon because over time the heat from the engine will
make the plastic more of a white look because of it oils heating up

I just did a water test on 15 hour Can Coat with an IK and distilled water. Super hydrophobic....by far the most hydrophobic product I've used to date. Not even close.

I didn't apply it using the towel it came with. Next time I may use that instead of the rectangular coating applicators. It came out great with those, but based on what I read about it, the product is designed to be wiped on quickly and wiped off quickly due to the carriers they used. I applied it like you would a full coating. Still came out great. I likely have a thicker coat of it on as a result of the method I used. I probably used a bit too much product.

If my girlfriend does pull the trigger on a new car, I think that may get CanCoat Evo.

I would. I'm using the original and will use Evo next year or whenever this one dies. It's too easy and works extremely well from everything I read about it. Water behavior is awesome. Eliminated my urge to search for the ultimate spray sealant. It's just as easy to apply so I see no reason not to use it.
