What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I didn't completely finish the last cleaning due to the fact the insects and road grime from the road trip in July was more than expected for a Monday night. Took time yesterday to do it right.

I used 3D Pre-Soak
TWHS Wheel and Iron remover
Used a fine grade clay towel
Pinnacle Black Onyx on tires
Pinnacle Twins on glass
Griot's 3-in-1 on the wheels for a little protection

I finished it all with a series of M & K products from a paint cleaner to high gloss sealant and wax. Really have to look for imperfections that need machine polished away on this white so I didn't go that far. (If I can't see them with my 90 degree naked eye head tilt, we'll assume they're not there ). The wax has a nice gloss/wet look but hard to capture that on the white in pictures.

I'm thinking I have both vehicles in a good spot until I throw some PA Viking on them for the winter... but I say this knowing full well I've got deliveries of stuff enroute and next weekend is a new weekend

Finished coating my first C8 detail today with Artdeshine Ceramic Metal Oxide V2.

I’m torn on the looks of the C8 but that color looks gorgeous. And it looks like it was tailor made for your amazing shop. Great job.

It is that time again to take care of the headlights since I last polished them 2 years ago or so. Did mine last night but no time for pictures. Here are some pictures of me polishing my son’s Prius headlights. Need to take care of my wife’s van next.

I consider cleaning up the detailing cave as detailing related :)

Removed the old vacuum and hid the new one. Hung up my new Flex Banner to help "represent" Thanks again to Chris for stopping by.

Full two-day detail as I’m on vacation this week.

Washed with HW, then Griot’s synthetic clay disc.

Polished with my G9 with LC Orange flat pads. Collinite 476S on the paint, McKee’s plastic trim restore on the trim, and Griot’s 3-in-1 on the wheels. DG 253 on the tires.

Interior got a 303 wipe down, all door seals got a Gummi Pfledge treatment, and the WeatherTech’s got scrubbed with HW, then a Griot’s Back Satin treatment.

I love how the Black Satin makes them look.

Beer time!!

What polish did you use with the LC Orange Flat pad?

How do you like Gummi Pfledge? How often do you use it?

FJ time, cleaned the wheels and tyres with NV Purge, then gave it a 2B wash with Reset. Dried it using Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wet Wax, it works ok as a drying aid, not as good as Bowden's After Glow, but the gloss is good, we'll just have to see what sort of protection it offers. Tyres haven't been re-treated yet, the sun had set, and the temps were dropping, that's a job for tomorrow.

How is Purge at cleaning tires?

It worked OK, it removed the previous coating, which was Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing, and the mud I got on them today, I drove someone to a soccer game this morning and parked on the grass, then had to engage 4H to get out, the ground is still so wet up here I just sat there spinning up the rears. I mainly wanted to remove the previous dressing, I think I'll use 303 Aerospace Protectant on them tomorrow, spray it on liberally, and let it soak in for an hour or two, before wiping any excess off, I really like non glossy look, just black rubber, if you know what I mean.

AM maintenance wash on the ZR2 done. Beautiful morning. I have much respect for the TW Graphene acrylic tire spray/coating. Just soap & water cleans the tires. And still using wet wax as a drying aid. This product never fails to impress me. Now on to other things. Vacation this week!

Gave the Jeep a wash. Gotta love how easy it is to clean a freshly coated vehicle. Mohs EVO showed great water behavior.

After this week’s thunderstorms, the company car needed some work, especially the wheels. LATA took care of the tires and Sonax wheel cleaner took care of the wheels. I do like the shiny look of Griots Black Shine tire dressing.
The CQuartz DLux on the pillars is still holding up well.

I really like it, Leo.

Keeps the rubber seals looking and working like new.

I use it about 2-3 times a year. Once right before winter hits will help with doors freezing shut.

Finally got a chance to wash the car when I wasn’t dodging work and rain.

Shine Supply Wise Guy Tire Cleaner (3 times as second strong cleaning of new Michelins)
Tuf Shine Large Tire Brush
Meguiars D143 Non-Acid Tire and Wheel Cleaner

Griot’s Microfiber Wash Pad
Glassparency Boost Drying Aid
Griot’s PFM Drying Towel
TWHSGATSSC (tire dressing - will let you figure out the long a$$ acronym)
