What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

True. I would be more worried about the actual reasons that the fires are burning. A dirty car would be the last thing on my mind.

I cleaned up the engine bay on this Ford F150.
Hyper Dressing on the engine. TW Endura Trim Coating on the windshield cowl.

I plan on only working one hour of OT today so I can go home and wash the GLI. Today it doesn't smell like a plastic injection molding plant outside. That's what it reminded me of anyways. Drove 16 miles to work and it smelt the same there. That's when I realized it wasn't a hillbilly neighbor burning trash.

When you use hyper dressing do you just spray it on everything in general, targeted locations, or hand apply?

I was blown away by how easy Motorplast was. Misted everything with it and closed the hood. Done. Curious how Hyperdressing ranks when compared to Motorplast.

Did "the usual" yesterday and it rained over night and storms predicted today and through the weekend, so much for C&C with my buddies this weekend where our cars could've been on display

Motorplast offers a touch more gloss, while you can alter Hyper Dressing to suit your taste. Having used both, I prefer Hyper Dressing for the matte to satin sheen it offers.

Both can be sprayed and walked away from.

Lightly spray on everything except the obvious areas such as the belts & wiring. Yup just spray & close the hood. It sets itself. I use it 1:1

5:30 AM wash on the truck. QUIET AND COOL. The way I like my detail fix. Lots of rain this weekend.

Did the "usual" and used Nv Snow as a pre-wash and Bilt-Hamber Surfex on the tires/wheels before that. Dried it off afterwards and then the EN's A/C dried me off, muggy as hell today

Washed wife Jeep…dried and put a light coat of seal n shine on. Just trying to use stuff up not. Gonna end up tossing half of it I’m sure as it will go bad before use

Stuff is really good and I wish "use by date" was stamped on stuff but then again it could hurt the industry if you think about it

Haha sorry I did not explain that worth a dang. I’ve got so much other stuff that isn’t being used it will probably end up going bad. Not sure how long coatings last unopened and polishes/compounds

So this morning I decided to do a "good wash" on the EN during my extended holiday weekend, let do this in an economy version of "DFB-style"

I started off using up my remaining CG's GlossworkZ carwash in the IK Foamer and 3 brushes to clean the rims, inside and out. Once I was done cleaning & rinsing the rims I applied Pure:est Gloss and Protection spray on, hose off product. I'm really enjoying this product and this is apart of my monthly "top up" of the rims

Next up was the pre-wash with the IK Foam Pro 12 w/ Veros maintence wash (1.5 oz) and Bilt-Hamber Touchless (1.5 oz) and a gallon of distilled. I like to mix things up sometimes, a little extra strength here, that's all. It rinsed away and now I'm ready for the 2BM

For the 2BM I used Gyeon Q2 Bathe and it always performs️Once I was finished here I decided to use Pure:est Gloss and Protection on the entire EN to boost up the EN finish as well

The EN is all finished and I'm going to add Pure:est tire dressing as soon as I move it to the street, our parking lot is being resurfaced today and it's going to be on the street overnight tonight, oh well, no sap atleast

Yesterday, did a decon wash on my buddys 2017 silverado. I paint corrected and ceramic coated this thing just over two years ago with a coating from a local outfit. It was one of the last times i used that coating.

I was around when he washed not long ago, and i felt the paint, it felt rough and contaminated. So i told him lets do a good decon on it and go from there.

Didnt have access to pw so no foam job. Sprayed down with iron remover, bucket washed with carpro descale, then finished with fenlab pure rinsless.

To my suprise, the paint felt smooth again, looked and felt like it was just polished. No signs of scratches/micro marring. He even mentioned how well it looked. So decided to not clay or anything.

Can coat evo was up next. Then waited an hour or two, then wiped down with Amplify to protect it from the incoming rain so he could drive it home.

This does sit outside all the time BUT it does get stored away for the winters so i imagine cancoat evo should last him quite a while
