A little car cleaning today.

About to hit it with meguiars hybrid paint coating.

Should give it about 6+ months of great water beasing and protection.

Pressure washer
Preasure Hose reel +100ft hose
Master blaster dryer
Dryer hose reel +35 foot hose

Shout out to whoever in the detailing world shared the tip about Shout Triple Acting for black mats too. After cleaning. Dry them. Then hit them with some if the Shout. Wipe on. Let sit. Wipe any excess. Smells great too.

Picked this set up today at a fleatique. Kinda dumb...but old metal toys like this are neat to me, especially heavy equipment. They dont make stuff like thus anymore. Its a bit harder to find this as complete set as it was sold years ago.

Anyway it needed a little love again. Back axle was a little bent. So i broke it down to straighten the back axle. Scrubbed rubber tires and tracks with 3d orange, then soaked them in megs m40 to rejuvinate.

Neverdull on the hub caps and grill.

Wiped down everything else with 3d orange.

Hand polished red cab/front clip with menzerna 3800. Hand polished everything else with 3d aat505. Final wipe down with armour detail supply amplify. Looks much better.

Will store it away and display it in our garage...when we build one.

Washed the wife’s car. I used my Griots Surface Wash and the Polygloss after. Last week, I sealed it with Armour Detail Ceramic Sealant. The Griots played nice with it.

Well yesterday morning I did "the usual" but after exiting the carwash I got a flashing CEL, EN in limpmode. Apparently our cars have an issue with knock sensors and carwashes. Now I've had the subscription for over a year and on the low end I've been through that wash 104 times, that's @2x's a week but you guys know it's more than that

The code is 1326 and when I looked it up one of the results, besides the knock sensor was vibration due to rod bearing...I hope it's NOT that, warranty or no warranty

So it WAS a knock sensor and it IS caused by the carwash. I've been through that wash between 105-150 times in the past year, ###

Vacation detail. Real good interior. Engine detail. Wash. Wet wax. Griots ceramic tire shine. Tonneau cover treated. The PA DETAILER deluxe package. LOL. Finished with gummi fledge on all door weather stripping.

They "fixed" my car by removing the knock sensor, blowing it out, re-installing and re-setting the parameters...total BS! A new sensor is under $100, I'm going to continue to use the carwash, I'm not living in fear️

Gave my buddys daily a quick spruce. It had clear failure, thats why he sprayed the top of the truck matte black. The original red paint needed a clean up. Was dull. Its bright again. Still has rids all over but gave it what it needed.

Flex supa beast, 3d aca510 and lc force orange.

Sealed red paint with armour detail supply ceramic sealant. Final wipedown with their amplify.

Took it a step further this evening. Added a coat of TWHS flex wax. For that tighter web of protection.

No knock sensor but wouldn't running an EV through the car wash be like tossing a hair dryer into the bathtub? :laughing:
