What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

No knock sensor but wouldn't running an EV through the car wash be like tossing a hair dryer into the bathtub?
Needed a clean slate, eh? If that car only knew the pampering it's in for now...

Oops quoted the wrong post but I'm sure the right person will see this!

Sorry for the confusion but I'm NOT getting an IONIC6, just made a funny comment about the EV NOT having a knock sensor

So after getting my car back from thr dealership, twice because of 2 trips to my touch-free wash, I HAD to wash it last evening! They sprayed water into the grill for quite some time to "simulate" an automated carwash, LOL (but not really funny). When I picked up my car it was a mess AND it was nice yesterday and had to drive to the grocery store and home like that, water spots, smudges and dusty🫣

I ended up doing a Griot's Garage foaming surface wash in the Griot's Garage foam gun and let dwell for some time. Upon rinsing the beads looked great and I began to feel better

Since I just got the new P&S Inspiration Sio2 protectant I decided to use it as a drying aid. First off the smell...OMG, they really know what their doing here! Upon drying it was EASY, didn't rinse the beads down with free flowing water like usual and with each spray and pull of my DPC large drying towel it was dry each time!

Once done, since I had such a great 1st time experience, I decide to go around the car with P&S Inspiration again and there were ZERO streaks and the EN was looking like it's old sell once again

As far as the touch-free wash usage, well, I'm calling Hyundai customer service again but this time I've gotta be more "firm". When you wash 150 times in a year without an issue and then ONE TIME there IS an issue, well, common sense says it's NOT the carwash

City mainly. They come from time to time to make sure the water doesn't go down the street. I just run it into the planter. Some guys use mats.

I gave the Qashqai a 2B wash with Reset, on the lawn this time, our driest start to winter in almost 10 years, so water the lawn and wash the car at the same time. I cleaned the wheels yesterday with an old MF and Ech2o, so didn't touch them today. Moved it back inside to dry it with my Gyeon XL twisted loop drying towel. And I don't normally do this, but after I dried inside the door jams, I wiped them over with Ech2o, why not. Finished off with Krystal Klear Bubble Gum Blitz on the windows, especially the inside of the windscreen, it had a build up of that annoying haze, ended up jumping in and out 3 times before I was happy.

I spent yesterday polishing off Adams’s Graphene Advanced coating and this morning applying Gyeon Syncro. I’d like to say it was fun but my shoulder begs to differ.

Are you using the NSP 95 or 45 or both?
I tested them both, together and separate. For what defects are present 45 has given me satisfactory results. There still may be some rids present but im only doing a one step.

Also these are pretty smeary and grippy feeling polishes. Not really caring for it so far. Reminds me of menzerna.

If i wipe after with wax/grease remover it wipes nice and clean. But thats not the point of this product.

The owner is not like us as far as our wash techniques. So its gonna need it again in the future, This i know for sure lol.

This is the 2nd time its been paint corrected and ceramic coated since being painted 2 or 3 years ago now i think. The first pro shop that coated this truck left a couple nice high spots lol.

#### happens, but for what he paid for the work...its unacceptable in my opinion.

So 45 was sufficient and you never needed 95? What pad did you use Opie? Lastly, I've been wanting to check the depth on a re paint. Did you happen to measure the thickness?

So first off i dont have nor use a paint depth gauge. Im friends with the painter. So anything i ever do thats been repainted is from him.

Also, the roof was the only thing that needed anything more than a 1 step. I used my rotary with lc purple foamed wool(i forgot my rupes wool pads). So i went at the roof after that with lc force white pad and supa beast and 95(cuz 45 was not enough to remove buffer haze). So first pic is after rotary,3d 510 and lc purple and then lc force white 95 and supa beast. I was not happy.

So 2nd pic i grabbed a fresh lc force white and used my normal go to 3d 502. And bam, my normal results were what i usually get.

I actually think i might just use 502 and lc white force on the whole truck, like i usually would do and then go back and do my panel wipe.

Any suggestions? Ive tried using less and more of both 95 and 45, and its a bad wipe off and really grippy while polishing and wiping off

Washed with Griots Surface Wash, followed with PolyGloss. Cleaned the tires with Gyeon tire cleaner, dressed them with Jescar tire and trim. Vac’d the interior, wiped it down with Cockpit Premium, mats, too. I had to repair my garden hose before I could use the PW. I used an Ottinger clamp. They work like magic. I’ll clean the interior glass tomorrow.
