What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I put Carpro Darkside on my wife’s tires. It’s only been about 10 hours since application but I can say thus far that the initial impression is better than Carpro Blackout. I’m not impressed with that at all.

Darkside is an awesome product, hopefully you applied thin/and or leveled it out

Of course. Absolutely. 100%.

Thankfully I read this in time. The excess was still somewhat wet and I was able to level it out. Now it has a nice satin look instead of glossy enough to see my reflection.

Not only that but it will sling most of the time if NOT leveled down

Playing around with products today on a day off.

I threw Adams Advanced Graphene Spray on the wife's vehicle. It's right on top of some PA Cosmic so I don't expect any sort of longevity but wanted to try something that had been sitting around. It was very easy to use and very slick.

I also used Ethos foam party for a pre-wash and Ethos Tire shine. I really like the look the look of the new Michelin tires with any shine on them against the white vehicle. The tire has a slightly aggressive look so they look good all shined up!

Also used Owner's Pride eco soap and Armour Detail wheel cleaner... so essentially nothing sold at AGO. But to be fair, I can't really rely on them any longer either. I keep hearing about shipping issues and then last Friday my recent towel order showed up 9 towels short of what I had ordered. (A 10-pack turned into a single towel somewhere between the order and fulfillment process... ) They seem to be struggling with their new fulfillment out of Texas.

None the less, had fun playing around and happy wife, happy life.

Been there. Applied too heavy and even after two weeks of no driving at all, sling city.

That sucks, especially on that stunning pearl white! You never wanna enter Sling City but are always happy to leave there

Thankfully it was on my blue one but it was right after a full two days of polishing and winter prep.

Lesson learned!

Glad you've kept using Darkside, how long does it last for you

I need to pull it out again. It's honestly been awhile and a better test will be the white vehicle that's more often on the road. The continental tires on mine only seem to like any shine or coating for about 2-3 weeks but to be fair, usually washed every two weeks so doesn't matter much. Those tires need a good scrub and Darkside on them again ahead of winter.

Overall I'm a bad baseline for durability. Both are garaged, washed every 2-3 weeks and very low mileage weekly. I can probably make a detail spray last a year based on that alone!

Hit the touch-free wash before C&C this morning, drove straight there and used TWHS Pure Shine to bring it up a notch

I've had the EN for 1.5 yrs and I'm amazed to this day how much the color changes

After a couple days of no wash, since Saturday, I ran the EN through the touch-free wash. Drove to the park to dry it off and apply a very light coat of TWHS graphene tire dressing

Hey I know a midget who’d love that!lol.

If you really want to raise eyebrows you bring a midget with you and have him inspect the rocker panels and even have him lay on a creeper to check out the underbody n stuff. Make him wear a white labcoat and carry a clipboard for added effect. Lol.

Thank you Deyon and I must say, inperson, it truely is

I like that you’re not too modest to accept the compliment and add even more emphasis to it. I also like how you’re not worried about showing your license plate. I think it’s weird when people take the time to blur that out for somekind of safety precaution?

I'm not trying to come off arrogant but I can see where someone would think this but as a life long car guy who's been through some life issues in the past 4 years I never thought I'd have something "special" again, hell, 4 yrs ago I didn't even think I'd be able to support myself, move forward...let alone having a great car once again. I'm not saying it's a great car in the world 9f great cars, not even close but to me, it is, truely!

There's a fine line of confident, arrogant and proud, it's not easy but sometimes I can't believe I've got this car AND with its mods, little and major

I never said arrogant. I meant what I said when I said I liked it. If anyones car is going to look that good, what better place for the owner to be than here.
