What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I haven't seen any of the Cartoon line in person, are the formulas different from the other TW lines?
Well this Tire Coat is much different than their TWHS graphene tire dressing, that's for sure. I swear my 2nd bottle was different than the first, wasn't as impressive

I haven't used the other Mr. Cartoon line but I got the entire line for my buddy Hectour last summer for his birthday and he really likes the QD and tire cleaner specifically, he might not have tried the other stuff yet knowing him...oh yeah the interior bomb he also liked, preferred the Bilt-Hamber interior bomb though.

My neighbor contacted me last night needing help to clean her SUV passenger seat after her daughter’s lunch didn’t agree with her.

I threw in a complimentary wash and wanted to try out P&S Frostbite on a dirty vehicle to really see what it could do. Rain cut the wash a bit short but I at least was able to foam it on and see how well it will work as a pre-wash. I used it at a 1:8 dilution ratio which is a bit higher than recommended hoping that it would have a bit more bite but I honestly didn’t see perform any better than using Reset as my pre-wash. It think it’s fine as a general purpose soap but I don’t see a place for it in my arsenal, especially with Touch-less v2 on the way.

Oh yeah, Frostbite is no Bilt-Hamber Touchless or Auto-foam, that's for sure but if you want something with less pH than the Bilt-Hamber Touchless or Auto-foam, it's a great choice IMO. BTW have you tried DIY Detail Incredible Suds yet

Nah. I’m gonna stick with BH, Reset and Descale as my three soaps. They cover all of my bases. If it ain’t broke……..

I’m not a big P&S fan

I’ve tried numerous different products and this is the only one I bought more than once

You don't like Brake Buster I ask because I use it for maintenance usage in my IK Foamer and it works great

We went through the tunnel wash yesterday evening and literally before we got out of the dryer we got caught in a dust storm that came out of nowhere

There was no point in even going through again because of the continued wind and dust

Ended up with a severe weather warning through today

I got up this morning and got stuff out to take care of it

Fresh bucket of N 914, some old ONR at QD strength I wanted to burn through so I could open my bottle of version 5

I used that for my presoak

I bought a gallon in Hawaii and I thought it sucked

I didn’t have an IK foamer but to me, it’s either going to clean or it’s not

To be fair, that red volcanic dust defeated most things I threw at it

I might buy a 16 oz and try it again since I have a foamer now

Well the foam helps to break it down, lift it away and make your cleaning easier but on more crusty stuff you'll have to use a stronger ratio or may E straight

I use it @4:1 and remember the side benefit to BB, that chemical in there that doesn't rust your rotors as much

I tried everything from straight through 1:4 and even used an old Simple Green bottle with the foaming nozzle and it just didn’t impress me

Just so you can sleep at night I’ll get a bottle on my next order

Nah I'm good, maybe you need something stronger, like Nv Purge or even Bilt-Hamber Surfex @3:1

My son kept texting me and I kept losing track of what fold or side of the towel was that I had in my hand so I would toss it in the bucket and grab another

I use the lower knap green guys to knock down and spread my topper and follow up with the 700 gsm to buff it out

I got plenty and the instant they feel damp I chuck it and grab a fresh one

I always use more than most people would I guess

I have 10 of those orange guys for the actual RW and on a medium size car I will use all ten

Now that I’m not fighting that red dirt I honestly don’t need atomic strength stuff

i used Xpress on this job for the first time on the passenger door. It made a good first impression and I do have a few other products that are staples. Brake Buster was my gateway drug and is the only wheel and tire cleaner I use. I used it diluted 1:3 in my IK Foam Pro 2 and it’s worked wonderfully on even the most neglected wheels and tires. The P&S interior carpet cleaning products are also fantastic. You can take the others but you’ll have to pry Brake Buster from my cold, dead hands.

Turtle Wax Mr. Cartoon Tire Coat shown here w/2 coats, cured over night and driven for about 50 miles this morning.

As you can see the finish is very nice and it's DRY to the touch shortly afterwards, so that's a good sign showing its not like other products on the market

How will it hold up, stay "tuned"

It was a CarPro day after finding a bottle of Gliss from May '23. Doing the math, I figured I might as well...

Used Descale, IronX, Reset, Eraser, Hydro Lite and Perl. A lot of these are a little older so I wanted to get a little use out of them.

I tossed Gliss on after all that and not sure if it will stick long onto the older coating but at least I feel like I used it now before it got too old. It was super easy to use and I think I barely used 15ml.

I ended up using 8 RW towels which is totally normal for me

I used 7 of the lighter towels to spread the OCW and 5 heavy/fluffy buffing towels

To me that’s a pretty standard number of towels for a RW

Just curious, do you really think that’s too many?

There was a grit guard in the dirty towels bucket so it looked like more than was I guess

Like I said, just curious

That's not too many, I use a couple to apply/remove a topper, guess I'm only thinking about the RW itself
