I love Xpress and Brake Buster too. Like any brand, there are hits and misses in the P&S range. Most of my bulk products are from P&S, they are much better priced when compared to similar Meguiar's products here.

Brake Buster - I started using this undiluted and from a spray bottle. It took me a long time to realise that it seems to function better when foamed, in which case I have it undiluted in a foam cannon. I do still use it neat for tires.






Xpress - I love how this feels under the towel, or when lathered up with a brush. The scent is supposed to be an acquired taste, but I love it.




Swift - this is such a nice product to use, and the scent is pleasantly different to all of the lemon scented interior products on the market. I use this in a spray and wipe manner, but you can ramp it up with a brush or scrab pad. It leaves a very natural finish too.




Bead Maker - this is a love or hate product that I arrived at many years after it became popular. No, it doesn't last long, yes it can cling onto dust, yes it can be streaky in certain situations, and no it doesn't bead water as the name suggests. But very little comes close to the gloss and slickness it brings, and when used as a drying aid, who cares how long it lasts.




Absolute - this is probably my favorite rinse-less wash. The slickness is what seals the deal for me, but the scent plays a role too. I've found it works better with warm water. When teamed with Bead Maker during the drying process, the end result is stunning.






Paint Gloss - an underappreciated product, mainly because it's a simple detail spray, but to me, that's a good thing. While we all seem to like adding more protection to the car by using spray sealants as drying aids, but we probably don't need do that all the time. Paint Gloss just works, no streaking, no dust attraction, no overloading the paint with layer on layer. The banana and cinnamon scent smells amazing too.




Undressed - this is a more potent tire cleaner, taking things up a notch from Brake Buster. While it doesn't lather up like Brake Buster, its not far behind and is cheaper too.




Clarity Creme - this is a glass polish/deep cleaner. It's considerably easier to use than Ceri-Glass too.




True Vue - one of the better glass cleaners I have used, on par with the simple excellence of Invisible Glass. Available in concentrate (as pictured) or in RTU format.




Rags to Riches - the best of its type. When I started using this, I had a number of towels that were on the verge of being replaced, R2R gave them a second lease on life. Overall, it leaves towels softer and more absorbent.




Now for the ones I hated or didn't see value in...................

Pearl - this is one of the worst soaps I have used. It doesn't foam at any dilution, its not all that slick, it doesn't necessarily clean very well, the scent is nothing special. Oh, but its cheap I can hear people saying, but you end up using way more soap to do the same job Carpro Reset will do with only 60ml of product.




Dream Maker - this was hyped beyond belief at launch, but its absolutely terrible. It was supposed to be easier to work with than Bead Maker, but nothing I did made it play well for me. Streaky, smeary, blotchy...............all I ever got from Dream Maker. This stuff does everything Paint Gloss can do, just way way way harder to use. Smelt nice though.




Defender - this is not terrible, but it's not great either. It feels strangely grabby underneath the towel, overall, a very average spray sealant.




Inspiration Radiance - I actually like using this soap, but I just don't understand why they went with the dilution ratios they chose, very wasteful is all I can say.

 
@DFB. Does Paint Gloss attract dust like Bead Maker? Reason I ask is there’s no protection in it, right? So maybe it doesn’t attract dust like BM.

A YT Detailer recently mixed-up this one with Bead Maker and P&S productized it recently (another Elixir case). It's been labeled Clean Maker...

I tried Pearl and agree that it is certainly not anything special, and I plan on trying Rags to Riches when I run out of the gallon of microfiber cleaner I got from Autofiber

I watched all the madness on YT when Bead Maker came out and saw all the high profile content creators losing their minds over it, and then all of a sudden people figured out all the drawbacks to using it and the love dried up

I am sure there are P&S products that I would probably like, I just need to buy 16 oz bottles and try them out and not dive in and buy gallons "because XYZ said so" on YT (I am not referring to anyone on this forum, I’m talking about people who have a vested financial interest in me buying something they get a kickback from)
 
I started putting Megs HCW on my good wheels and immediately ran into trouble, it was streaking and being super fussy

This was 3-4 days after using the same product on another set of Lexus wheels with the usual awesome results

I tried a damper applicator, dry applicator, more product, less, etc and it just wasn’t going to happen

I started to grab Griots Ceramic 3 in 1 Wax but I didn’t feel like stripping the wheels back and I didn’t feel like putting it over the HCW was a good idea

In the end I grabbed 3D Bead it Up and tried that and it came out nice and even

Not sure what the issue was, possibly humidity or something

I decided to skip a tire dressing since the tires are essentially new and let the factory stuff get knocked down by a few washes

Tried out labocosmetica purifica and primus 2.0 today. Even though its going to rain alot later and this week, the ADS coating has been showing good amount of mineral deposits which has made the water behaviour suffer. So i needed to test out products and watch the water behavour if it returns.

Ran it thru a touchless 2 nights ago, and with minimal time today i skipped the normal pw/foaming process.

Instead i mixed in 2 non foaming pump sprayers, purifica and primus at 1:10 ratio. Primus first, hosed off, then purifica. Without hosing off i went after it with a rinseless wash of n914. Purifica did dry in the surface on half the car before performing rinseless on said panels, but no ill effects or staining..which i remember labocosmetica saying in a video.

No topper was used.

Mineral deposits are gone. Really enjoyed both products. Not a heavy amount of traffic film was on car to begin with so will test its limits another day. Both both may become a staple on the shelf and descale might no longer be purchased.

After finishing the tire swap I needed to drive the new Lexus so it would recognize the factory TPS sensors in the summer tires so we went to Palmer and went through the touchless

I took my little IK foamer filled with BH AF and gave the back end a heavy pre-rinse and had enough for the front end and the worst of the sides

Everything but the back end got fairly clean but the back end needs more attention

It is supposed to rain tomorrow but if the evening is decent I am going to try my best to do my first contact maintenance wash

Paint Gloss doesn't provide protection, but it does have high lubrication and some very minor cleaning ability, I stress minor!

In terms of dust attraction, it's not like Bead Maker in that regard because of the natural anti-static effect. Would you believe that at one point, P&S were suggesting to apply Paint Gloss as a secondary wipe down on Bead Maker to cut down the static charge. I like Bead Maker and P&S, but that suggestion was absurd.

I have tried it and liked Clean Maker, I found it made an unusable product into something quite pleasant. I won't be buying more Dream Maker to mix up another batch though.

 
Finally got the truck done this morning. Probably before another round of rain. Got the grass done yesterday. Used the flex wax this time as a rinse wax. Since I have the base coat on already. Have to admit I always loved the spray ceramic coating, but I think flex was takes it to another level. #253 on the tires.
 
I need to detail these before I put them away for the summer

I guess I would call the finish satin painted?

If I wanted to try a ceramic coating on these what would be the simplest for a first try at coating

Although most will argue it’s not a true “coating” I’m actually thinking about the new spray on and wipe off from Megs

That is how I coat my wheels. Currently wearing TWHS flex wax. Then maintained with Megs ceramic soap. If they ever need a bump in protection, I just use flex wax as a spray on rinse off wax. Wheels are close to 6 years old, and still look good. Driven all year long.
 
The EN sat in a morning storm today, then the sun came out and later on while picking up my daughter...a couple large rain drops! The downpour washed away the F'n sap but I wanted a "clean slate", so I planned a quick foam/dwell/rinse/dry later...and I did

I actually used 2 oz of Adam's graphene soap in my Griot's Garage foam gun and while I planned on using it for 2BM's I tried it this way and it worked GREAT! This soap may say GRAPHENE on the name but it's like their version of Reset and it must be because the beading looked great

I also did a foaming of Brake Buster on the tires and wheels...no brushes and it's "good enough"

I also foamed my g/f's Cruze with Griot's Garage Brillant Shine snow foam and did the same foam/dwell/rinse...and dry

I need to speak about Turtle Wax Mr. Cartoon Tire Coat...ITS THE REAL DEAL! Haven't checked YouTube vids on it but if my opinion means anything and you want and/or need a new tire product I'd suggest you get some...quickly

This product DOES have that blue tint mixed in with its thin, milky white consistency and DOES dry to the touch about 15 minutes. I applied 1 Coat to my g/f's DWS06's and we did a 400+ mile round trip Sunday and rain today and wash and it looks AMAZING! Her car will be the best test for this new, sleeper product...stay "tuned"...for uodates

If it's a typical acrylic coating, IMO there is no blue tint mixed in, that blue appearance after you put it on is something to do with the curing process or just refraction.

EDIT: I mean, I think even the old black TW stuff turns blue like that after you put it on, until it dries. Eldo will confirm or tell me I'm crazy.

I'm laughing (with, not at you) knowing how much effort you put into these washes AND that it's rained at least twice since you did this with the gnarly storms that have been roiling the region all day. Thought the Cubs game might go to terminal rain delay when I heard thunder down here and knew it would hit up at Wrigley in about 5 minutes but Michael Busch hit that walk off on first pitch of 9th (yay!). On the silver lining side of all these clouds is you can wash it again tomorrow. :xyxthumbs:

Am I reading this right (below, from their website)? Is it trying to tell me if I continuously use the bottle I'll have a year of protection? I don't doubt your opinion (respect it heavily in fact) but this is certainly an interesting way to define durability. I can probably get 20-25yrs out of their graphene paste wax if we're assessing durability this way


1 year of shine & protection – one bottle will provide multiple applications to maintain that high gloss shine & protection through all the seasons

I started with a Bilt-Hamber Touchless pre-wash w/ the IK Foam Pro 12, let it dwell and rinsed it down. Upon rinsing down it just brings back the beading...BIG TIME️

Next up was P&S Inspiration RADIANCE Ceramic coating maintence wash. Now this time I read the directions and I guess this is really one of those washes you do "every so often" because it says to use 6 oz per gallon, I used 15 oz to 3.5 gallons and it did suds up pretty well but that ratio is a little high IMO, not sure about using this product going forward but it does have great lubricity and rinsed down nicely, just not cost effective but then again I don't really "need' to use this often, right

Next was the usual tire & wheel cleaning and Brake Buster did its usual thing, this will ALWAYS be my main maintenance tire & wheel cleaner, all 4 brushes got used as I want the EN totally clean tomorrow

For a drying aid I used Nv Boost V2...now THIS product is "a somethin"! I only used 2 sprays per panel and it dried the panels nicely, even with the sun going down and temps in the upper 50's/low 60's, cool out. I have the other Nv "twins" but saving those for other times, maybe I'll finish off my Boost V2 bottle and mix the twins together since the reviews seem to say Boost V2 is the best of "the twins"

I'm about to go back out and apply, don't laugh, Mr. Cartoon tire coating! I thought I'd give one of his products a try, this just came out and I added TWHS Wet Wax & Hyper Foam to my order as well (free shipping). I'll report back tomorrow about how this product works, plenty of time to cure for sure
