What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Product review via much needed wash on the EN...with proof
--------------------------

Feynlab Pure Rinseless V3 was today's choice and as you can "clearly" see, the EN was dirty, so a great test for this product, a product I haven't used in 3 yrs AND it's now in v3 form

The ratio for this is slightly different, 250:1, so I ended up going with 1.5 oz to 3.5 gallons of water, 2BM in effect due to the dirt/GRIT on the EN due to the rain and high winds we had 2 days in row

I coined the term "you can SEE the clean" and it started with THIS product, v3 is no different! As I moved around the EN, pre-treating each section, it cleaned so well and dried easily, even in 44 degree temps this morning...VERY impressive, 1 Gauntlet towel was I used on the EN, designated mf for tires, wheels & engine bay, used the left over for the latter areas, NO PROBLEM...PURE CLEAN

Even though the coating is only 1 month old, it feels as slick or maybe slicker due to the ADS Ceramic Spray Sealant stack I've got going on here

One thing that you just can't deny is this, Feynlab Pure Rinseless v3 is PURE Clean, a "clean you can actually see" and if you've got a coated car and don't want any additives...LOOK NO FURTHER

I could drive over to their HQ, it's about 25 minutes away, same street as my buddy has his vinyl shop...Xtreme Graffics Lombard Illinois

Thinking of swapping to a 540. Have no mods to the frame. Have you done any and if not how does she drive with 600hp?

I also use to own a convertible Mustang 2016 GT. Probably one of my favorite cars…

No I have no mods to the frame. It is stock.
It drives/cruises fine with 600 hp. It has a fairly large cam and occasionally has a little minor bucking at low rpm/low speed driving such as under 15 mph in 1st gear. How ever stomp on the gas and the torque is incredible.
Is the 540 made from a GM block? My 496 started life as a 454.

Trying to use up the leftovers from my Hero vs N-914 comparison

All pre-rinsing was done with N-914 at 128:1

The IK Foamer has a liter of distilled water and 30ml of N-914 and was used to pre-foam the rear end, although it wasn’t working very well today and was very runny

85afdaf1464f6d974da2174f0f1d09a4.jpg

It still softened up the crap and carried a lot of it off

I used the Hero on the roof, the side windows, windshield, and the back doors down to the handles

Everything else was N-914

I finished with ADS Amplify and used only that on the entire car this time

I can’t speak to longevity but it left a nice, silky feeling finish

My shoulder ran out of steam before I could get to the wheels but tomorrow is another day and I won’t drive this until they are done and get a coat of Megs HCW on them

I will order some when I am closer to running through what I have

All together I have a little over a half gallon between ONR v5, N-914 and N-914 v2 (unopened) and Hero

I think that's all I have

🤔

I should have enough to get me through until spring plus it will be safer because of the possibility of freezing in transit

Just a wash and a coating topper with my 3 favorites products. Carpro Reset, Carpro Perl on tires and Polish Angel High Gloss as the coating topper.

As a 911 fan I feel dirty saying this but if I won the lotto, I couldn't possibly buy a 911 over THIS

BRG w/ brick red interior and bronze wheels! That car is absolutely stunning from EVERY angle, I'm absolutely blown away with how this car was redone

Repeat customer from September of 22. Her headlights were yellowing. They were in that grey area that didn’t require sanding but needed some work to restore clarity and stop the yellowing from getting worse. I went with two rounds of Griot’s FCC on an UroFiber 50/50 pad and followed up with M205 on a Griots finishing pad to smooth the lights and bring out max clarity. Coated with two layer of Mohs since I had some laying around and hopefully this prevents things from worsening. I also gave it a complimentary engine bay cleaning since the engine compartment hadn’t had any attention since I first saw it and finished the job off with a maintenance wash.

One of these days I’ll remember to snap a before picture when I do an engine cleaning.

Tires scrubbed with N-914 WW strength

Rinsed with N-914 @128:1 in garden sprayer

Wheels protected with Megs HCW at 3:1 sprayed on and wiped in and buffed out

Armour Tire+ applied with Suds Lab foam applicator and knocked back with wheel towel

I’m going to do at least one more coat because the tires have never had any kind of dressing before and they seem thirsty

The instructions for Tire+ are specific about the tire being absolutely dry and they aren’t kidding

The slightest bit of water in a rim/tire joint will screw it up big time, it just refuses to spread or coat evenly

I will say I like the yellow color, the viscosity, and the smell

We will see how longevity is

Tire+ is actually pretty long lasting for what it is, how many coats did you ultimately apply Chilly

Just the one so far

I kicked the heat up in the garage and I am going to give the tires and floor time to completely dry

I accidentally hit the wet floor with the applicator and it totally messed up the application process, plus a drip from those center caps caused a problem too

I wiped the trouble spots off but the damage was already done so I want it all DRY

I guess I should have used my blower, but I can see this being a problem if you don't have the time or means to let everything get completely dry

Today got the Mustang ready to go to the underground storage a little later this week.

Did a presoak with Dark Fury and Cherry foam combo. Followed that with a two bucket wash with Slick and slide. Then did a panel prep with distilled water/alcohol combo at 5:1. Sealed all the paint with Jescar Powerlock. Dressed all the exterior plastic with Tec 582 at 1:1 and applied that to the wheels. Finally dressed the tires with Carpro Darkside.

So it’s all shined up and protected for its five month stay in the mine. Once I get there have to disconnect the battery ( policy of the storage company ) and throw the cover on it. Will fill the tank up at home before I leave and throw a bottle of Stabil in it.

I like it for its longevity. So far I've only used it on my Chevelle and the Mustang. Put it on early in the Spring and it lasted till today on the Mustang and is still on the Chevelle.
I apply it with a paint brush and don't wipe it down at all. A little shiny at first but tones down in short order.

No leveling, your brave

That never really made sense to me. Just apply it uniformly and whatever happens, happens.
It's a well known fact that you have to level that product or it will sling
