What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I have to find some way to reach the roof. I can barely get the hood and I'm 6 ft.. I tried standing on the side of bed but I can't reach where the marker lights are in the front.

I use one of those harbor frieght aluminum platforms. Works well. Im 6ft tall as well. Its a stretch for your model/size of truck but ive made the reach.

I used imgbb website. Even then, I had to downsize the resolution, but it's a higher resolution than what's allowed here.
10-4. You have more patience than me. I'm not going through all of that lol

Check out the Microfiber Madness IncrediPole.

I don't think it's that good for tires AND rims. It did good on the tires, but by the time I got to the rims, the foam was almost all ran off. Might just use it as a dedicated tire cleaner until I run out then buy something else.

18 years is an exceptional run for a backing plate
I just did a test spot on one of my cars and the backing plate seemed fine, I'll just need to be really careful how I pull the pad off. I already ordered the new backing plate.

Score: Setec/Flex 3401/old green polishing pad/Menzerna SF4500: 1, water spots: 0.

Took the TAOS through the carwash again so it would look better, it did but that roof just wouldn't come clean but over all better. I can't till winters over and/or I can do a RW on it, hate the half a$$ nature of these touch-free washes but it's better than a swirl a matic

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday temps here will be 40 F and maybe a little more. Ill be washing outdoors. At least one of those days.
Same out this way after about 3 weeks of this subzero stuff. Suddenly got sunny today (still only about 20 degrees) and will be 40-50 all week now. It's a slushy, melting mess and I can't wait to get to the vehicles this week.

Riddle me this šŸ¤”

I've coated this vehicle 3 times in 3 years. I've been paid retail each time. The customer has only paid once

How did that happen?

(Sorry I had to crop the crap out of pic)

Used Descale today as prewash. I have Primus 2.0 and BH on hand but was curious how well Descale would do against a lot of road salt. 2oz in my Marolex sprayer. It worked very well. Wheels, wheel wells and rims were clean just from prewash. Truck was loaded with road salt etc. Followed up with Primus 2.0 in bucket at 1:100.

Did a quick maintenance wash on the Accord to remove any lingering salt from this week’s ā€œblizzard.ā€

I also went 12 rounds with this beauty. It belongs to a guy who volunteers along with me at our local community center. It started as just a headlight restoration but I decided to try and resurrect this vehicle as a gift to his father since this was once his prized possession. I had all of my equipment with me and out of the 25 garden hoses at this center, not a single one was in usable condition so no pressure washer. Yvan would be proud because this ended up being a wash, clay and seal with DIY Rinseless and it worked out better than expected. I’m sure I caused some slight marring despite what Yvan says when doing this process but the paint was already severely scratched. It looks a helluva lot better but it’s still severely oxidized and will be the recipient of a paint enhancement in the coming weeks when I have the next session of my detailing school.

Yeah I used Descale this past Friday, mixed with 303 salt neutralizing wash, in the foam cannon and I swear it went scorched earth on the salt on my car, great combo
