What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Ran the EN through the touch-free wash before work today. A couple days ago when I did it before work it was 19 degrees, this morning 37 degrees. Next week the temps will level out to normal but for right now I'm enjoying the mid-winter thaw

Nah. Old crappy Jaguar 💩

Is that one of those 70's/80's ones, or one of the early 2000's ones that they made to look like the 70's/80's? I will say when they made that F-Type(?) in the late 90's that was evocative of the E-Type's from the 60's/70's, that was one beautiful car.

Jaguar has always had the best designers as far as looks go
It's the mechanical issues that suck
This series has a mustang power train. Imo they were the most reliable
This particular car I may end up with
It belongs to another customer who's in his late 80's
None of his children (or grandchildren) want it
He very well could out live me though, so not holding my breath

That's it! I used to pass one just like that, convertible, same color, almost every day on my way to work, going the other direction. As far as the powertrain, that was when Ford owned Jaguar (and Aston Martin, so there was a very similar DB something, DB8?).

A couple days before we had -10 degree weather i had moved all my liquids such as cleaners/washes/waxes etc as well as several cans of house paint i had in the garage to the basement. About 30 items.

My integral garage usually stays about 25 degrees warmer than outside temps and ive never had any problems in the past with stuff freezing in there but at -10 why take the chance.

Today i moved all that stuff back to the garage. Hope we are done with that below zero weather.

It's 2 fold, I use my days worth wash and it's CLEAN CLEAN or maybe the code is triggered and they'll do the TSB on my car

Believe it or not. When I told my psychiatrist years ago how much it helped me to just "detail a car" he started recommending that to other patients
It gets your mind off of your problems, is instant gratification + exercise & vitamin d

Just call me Dr F(u) if you want to 🤓✌️

Ford owned both Jaguar and Aston Martin during the 90's and 2000's. Contrary to what many think, Jaguar had their own V8, which was offered in 3.2, 3.5, 4.0, 4.2 and 5.0 capacities. Landrover also used the engine in 4.2, 4.4 and 5.0 capacities. Aston Martin used the engine as base for the 2005 V8 Vantage, initially in 4.3 and later in 4.7.

The Jaguar AJ-V8 is a compact DOHC V8 piston engine used in many Jaguar vehicles. It was the fourth new engine type in the history of the company. It was an in house design with work beginning before Ford's purchase of the company.
Ford Motor Company also used this engine in other cars, including the Lincoln LS and the 2002–2005 Ford Thunderbird

The DB7 was twinned with the first generation XK8, but Aston used a supercharged inline 6 and later 5.9 V12 rather than the AJV8.

Will the Detailing Gods punish me if I break out the D_A_W_N

Currently in a rental while it's in the bodyshop.
I already did a full Lysol wipe interior wipedown and when I got home , I used the compressor to blow it out
The interior is cleaner than when I recieved it

Low Input - High Reward approach on this rental.

I'm doing a quick Dawn wash on it

I wouldn't even wash the rental. They're lucky if I beat the fart smell out of the seat.

I still have it for at least 10 days to maybe moooooarr. You know how bodyshops tend to under-estimate and it's always 3 weeks+ longer....

It's not 4 wheels on box . It's a decent lux loaner....
I did say low input.
I would be opening Pandora's box if I decide to HP rinse it...I would want to do a real wash on it.

Deed is done.
I didn't do a 2BM but I did use 2 buckets and did 2 passes on each panel on a Dawn Wash.
Just going to let the rain rinse it clean...
