Between moving the sprinklers around this morning I did some detailing on the interior of the big car and tried out the new Interior Quick Detailer from The Final Details

It is a light yellow and has a very mild but pleasing fragrance, possibly like a tropical drink. I applied it with a MF sponge applicator and wiped it down with a low nap MF terry towel. I am quite pleased with the results on the finicky soft Lexus interior surfaces. It left just the tiniest bit of finish without looking or feeling the least bit wet or greasy. I have found on both Lexus cars that the majority of interior detailers out there either leave the surface looking parched and dried out or they look shiny and wet. This stuff is the perfect compromise. It has light cleaning ability as there were a few coffee oopsies and it handled them perfectly and then left that really nice finish.
Next I tried the Ceramic Waterless Wash. I really don’t ever clean a car with waterless wash but I do keep a bird bomb box in both cars with a small spray bottle of ONR at WW dilution and a few nice towels. I didn’t have any bird bombs but I drove home in a rain squall the other day and got a good coat of dust on the rain so I wet an area down and sprayed a bit on a plush towel and as gently as possible I wiped with a rolling motion and the combination picked the dirt up effectively. I switched sides on the towel and sprayed it lightly and gently buffed the area out. It gets weird here. The area is smooth and silky but at the same time it almost feels staticky. It is a very odd feeling. I tried the same process on the little car since it’s not coated and it worked the same only it didn’t have the static feel. I will be curious to see how the cleaned area on the big car reacts to whatever it encounters on the road. The Waterless Wash is a light green and again, it has a faint but pleasant scent I can’t quite put my finger on.
I can see myself using these products long term and working gallon containers into my supply system
I will try the tire and wheel cleaner and the soap at my next bucket wash and try the ceramic detailer as a drying aid
