What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Rinsless wash. Been trying pretreat with surfactant based and contact with Polymer/hybrid.

Idrosave and Pure v1 were the candidates. Liked this combo. Had a sample bottle of Griots best of show detailer that suppose to be good in the sun so final wipe with that.

Griots Ceramic tire for the tires

Interior deep clean with P&S Xpress and leather honey for the seats.

Through a squash bio bomb in there. If it last for the 60 days then it’s a winner. Smells great

Ofcoarse the front wheels are hammered from the trip, no worries, as is the front of the EN from the trip back to Chicagoland, no worries, I'll be getting after it today

I'll be using my new wheel brush from ADS today as well, has 3 different changeable covers that are washable, can't wait to use them

Did you hit a curb

2B wash for the FJ today, used Mother's California Gold, I think I've had this bottle about 15 years. It was still very lubricious and it cleaned well, not too far off Reset. It was very thick and gloopy when pouring, but it is winter here.

Dried with my big twisted loop towel inside the garage, used an old synthetic chamois for inside the door jams.PSX_20250616_161626.jpg

This is new, no idea when it happened.PSX_20250616_161437.jpg

Disappeared it with some Dodo Juice Lime Prime using a foam ball in my compact drill, one of those new Shine Mate EB212 polishers would be perfect for a job like this.

50 seconds in the microwave will fix the gloopy ness

The Ryobi came in today along with some other goodies I bought to go with it. After watching a video on it again, I’ve realized I have bought the incorrect replacement hose. I should have bought a 3/8 instead of 1/4. So, new order placed for the correct hose and the other one is going back. From the testing the guy did, the 3/8 allows slightly more psi, more gpm and less amp draw. The 3/8 was only $12 more, so might as well.

Until I figure out a double Ryobi setup…. Danged rabbit holes.

Which 3/8 hose did you end up going with? For some people the extra weight of a steel braided 3/8 hose vs the 1/4 uberflex hose is not worth the extra performance but if you want to get the absolute most out of the unit then yeah a 3/8 hose is the way to go.

Also, did you end up purchasing a swivel gun?

I bought an Uberflex commercial 3/8.

As for the swivel gun, I’m trying an Amazon special that had good reviews that’s similar to the SG28 and if it fails I’ll just fork the extra money for the SG28
