Another pre dawn wash. LOVE not working in the sun. Finished with flex wax as a rinse wax. Put up my new HEATSHIELD sun shade in the windshield.

Rinseless wash with a bug spongeJust finished a 500 mile road trip to the coast and back. Lots of back roads lots of bugs and LOTS of storms
I’ve been using reflect lately on my glass. It’s over top of griots ceramic glass coating, but it’s been working great nice a slick makes the bugs easier to remove. I was able to drive in some of the worst rain I’ve been In while barely using the wipers. (No cars around to generate spray) I applied a top coat right before driving into a bad storm and im glad I did.
I am not happy with the p&s glass cleaner I got on discount. When used to get the bugs off, it really wanted to streak. Lots of work to get it right.
OReillys says they have it so I will give it a tryGive TWHS inside job a look for that interior. Ceramic and Graphene. based. Been using it since the ZR2 was new. Safe for all interior surfaces. Leaves a nice natural finish and protection.
"I live my life a quarter mile at a time"My buddy Hectour and I got to detail his newly acquired 2025 Hyundai Elantra N-line this afternoon at The Bays Wheeling

With 2 of us working on the car we knocked it out in 3 hrs, funny thing is, its about how much time it takes me alone, high motor I've got I guess, although he worked on the interior with a couple of my products like DIY Detail Interior Ceramic and Bilt-Hamber Traceless glass cleaner
I applied/removed the ADS glass coating myself and the ADS Phobics was applied by me, removed by him and I applied 3x's ADS Ghost Tire Coating with proper dry time inbetween. All in all, it was a great time, we haven't done this in quite some time, making memories as I get older️

I'll have some outside pics next, stay "tuned"

Family drove out almost 1500 miles through the Midwest to deliver some "hand me downs" to the next generation. I couldn't let the car leave dirty. Did a full decon and played with some Undrdog products. I tend to use UD when I know this coating will never see a proper wash again. They take a beating fairly well.
The nicest part is it was pretty easy because it's the exact same Volvo my wife has. No surprises and happy in-laws.
It 100% needed a polishing but just couldn't get to it with time constraints. While not doctored, the pictures might be selective to hide swirls.

How do short, or even normal height, people reach that?
Hehe, needs a short hi-vis rope hanging down as a pull-rope like retracting attic stairs. How do short, or even normal height, people reach that?
Cool looking grit guard DaveWash day for the FJ, there a chance of rain over the next 2 days, but this was me time. I hose foamed some Reset onto it first, then gave it 2B wash with Reset, used my Reacher for the roof and windshield, Meg's Lambswool mitt for the hood, sides and rear door, finished the bullbar, black trim and wheels off with my black noodle sponge.

For drying I sheeted as much water off as possible, then moved it inside and dried the paint and glass with my Liquid8r, love these things, only had to wring it out once. Dried the wheels and trim with my old Enka-fill synthetic chamois.View attachment 139005

Finished by putting the last of my Red Mist on the paint, it's only taken 15 years to use it up.

My Liquid8r is the 16 x 16, I didn't even realise it was a 2 pack when I bought it, so that's a bonus, but yeah, they are awesome, so absorbent, love the size too, so manageable.Cool looking grit guard Dave
The new M22 Liquid8R is awesome️

Those blue pieces on the dash and doors aren't plastic?? They look cool though. I still can't believe how big the screens are getting these days, that one is huge. I remember the first screen I saw like that, I think it was touch screen but it might have been with buttons around the edge, was at the NY Auto Show in the late 80's, in a Buick Riviera. I thought GM was going to kill everyone that bought one, taking your eyes off the road to look at a screen instead of buttons you could feel...and now every vehicle has one.All that blue anodized aluminum has me worried as well, figuring out the best practice to keep it clean and scratch free. I will get some after pictures posted once I decide on an interior detailer and get that vinyl sorted.
If you use the Toyota configurator tool this is what it says about that trim element, "Anodized Blue"Those blue pieces on the dash and doors aren't plastic?? They look cool though.
