What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Thanks

I used to use quite a bit of 3D One and Speed but haven’t bought any since moving back to Alaska

I’m liking NV Precision and Finesse the last couple of years

I’m really enjoying the Griots Boss cremes as well

I think their middle of the line Correcting Compound is a good one step product

I’m just always intrigued by the “one” type polish/compounds

I've become way too attached to the one step products. They've worked very well on harder paints for me. Tried a two step not long ago and it felt like repeat work. But I get that I won't always be so lucky to have a quick one-step polish work well enough. The industry is certainly trying to go with the one-step products though.

There is nothing wrong with trying to simplify and consolidate efforts

If it’s my personal stuff and I have all the time in the world I don’t mind 2 steps, or even 3 if you are chasing perfection

But most people see a well executed one step and a nice LSP and just flip out anyway

They will NEVER see that last 5% that is obvious to us

Thank you

You'll really like the next steps!

This is PRO. I'll be putting that down first with their standard one on top. It should be a chemically resistant tank by the time I'm done with it.

Hey Crack, is THIS what you want me to compare Feynlab Ceramic Spray Detailer to

That's one of the 12.3 different detail sprays they make, all the same but with different bottles/labels. The one you want is the Hybrid Ceramic version in the green bottle. ;)

-Labocosmetica Purifica Decon soap
-Meg's Hyper Wash

This was my normal wash routine, every step straight forward, so not much to say. I used no drying aid because I just "double boosted" the EN almost a week ago (Griot's Garage Ceramic Wash and Coat/DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss) so it still looks glossy AF
I assume you use the decon due to a ceramic coating? Is it preventive or corrective?

Lots of rain at the moment, so I'm not doing much detailing, but I had to wipe the rear camera lens with some Carpro Eraser. When I wiped the FJ over with Meg's HCD the other day I wiped the lens as well, so when I was driving in the rain this morning the water getting on the lens beaded up, to the point I couldn't see a damn thing reversing into the driveway. So hopefully the water will just run off now with minimal distortion. PSX_20250802_101035.jpg

So you guys know how it goes, do a great wash, park in the shade, its 75 degrees outside and you wanna just run out and say do a quick vac...I did, then sprayed Griot's Garage Stinky Be Gone Light Em Up and thought...hmmm, MORE

Next was a quick top up of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s w/ADS Tire+, great! Then I applied CarPro Clarify Phobics to all exterior glass...solid!! Now what about the paint, I mean it was double boosted a week and has seen about 5 touch-free washes in that time...time for the "cherry ontop of the cake"

For this task I reached for the OTHER Labocosmetica quick detailer product in my collection, the one that lost out to my FAVORITE Ceramic quick detailer...Labocosmetica Perfecta Sio2, let's do this

So the initial application was very easy, wipe in, flip towel for final buff, slick but not as slick as Feynlab Ceramic Spray Detailer...or is it? I say this because after it cured I noticed it got slicker, used a damp Griot's Garage PFM towel from the wash earlier to level some over spray from the CarPro Clarify Phobics and its SLICK, even applying it it was but after...WHOA! Then the glossy reflection shots🤌

This company Labocosmetica, as well as ADS, have been my favorites for 2025 for a number or reasons:

LABOCOSMETICA
---------------

Crack got the ball rollin' for me here and honestly, a fellow enthusiast THAT passionate about a brand is going to get my attention, plus he's a genuine car guy AND backed up his reasons, perfect

Their 3pH system for RW's got the ball rollin', a system I wasn't quite onboard with initially but my God am I glad I came around...AMAZING

Then Brrr sent me Semper, a product he didn't like too much but I took it, sent him some FrankenDetailer as well, same with Uncbrs this year as well. Anywho, a single ounce made great suds, cleaned well and totally rinsed down EASY...Labocosmetica does it again🫡

Then I bought Purifica & Primus, 2 pre-wash soaps when doing a 2BM and wanna really clean before. Primus (I hate Primus, if you get this reference you know!) is the alkaline based product and Purifica is their acidic product. I've used both, whether in my Griot's Garage foam gun at home or on the foam cannon at The Bays Wheeling, each time you can "see the clean", then there's the beading when rinsing! Even once my car that's run through the touch-free wash about 5x's a week, both of these pre-wash products bring back even MORE beading

Finally theres Revitax, their wash and coat and I've only used on my g/f's TAOS, I don't think I've used it on the EN and let me tell you...well, you already know guys, Labocosmetica hasn't NOT left a "turd in the punch bowl" yet! Her TAOS has 7 month old ADS Phobics on it, maintained like a "normal" person, i.e. washed 1-2 a week at the touch-free wash with quality 2BM and pre-washes from time to time, plus some "spray on, hose off" products 1-2 times, so beading and gloss are really nice but Revitax just BOOSTED that another level and increased beading, gloss and self-cleaning abilities

ADS

Deyon turned me onto THIS brand! His credentials, passion, knowledge and certainly writing skills speak for themselves, so when he speaks, I listen and I'd like to think our small but passionate group do too

Without making this post even longer, I've gone into how much I like them, I mean it was their 3 year Quartz Coating that really spoke to me about the brand! But maybe a 1 trick pony...nope, Phobics spray coating was my booster coming out of winter, I applied it to my g/f's TAOS a week after she got it and recently to one of best friends brand new 2025 Hyundai Elantra N-line, came out great, ofcoarse

Now they're still new out here, adding product people would like instead of just throwing something out there. Case in point, besides the coatings, glass as well:

-Ghost...a legend already, real world testing, passed 100%

-Tire+...either as a stand alone or "boost" for Ghost towards the end...or the middle🫡

-Tire Cleaner...a couple sprays and tire is turning brown already, look no further, unless you've got alot of Adam's tire and rubber cleaner, it's THAT GREAT

-HERO...now RW's are a tough market, I read somewhere that Bradley didn't even wanna offer one...but he did and it so versatile but use it within it's abilities for cleaning, great msintence product but if its another level dirty, well, grab Feynlab RW v3 or Carbon Collective, be smart here guys

-Amplify & Adapt, drying aids, gloss enhancer, WW for say your door jams, trunk or hood jams, wheels for a quick swipe for cleaning/gloss, find your favorite here, many uses

-Last but NOT least...Pilot! I dare you to find a better interior detailer!! From what it does, user experience, small, how it finishes, all of it! I liked it so much I bought a gallon, keep a bottle in BOTH of our cars for quick clean ups and/or boosting, just a star in the group

I've used other things from ADS like towels for RW's, their drying towel, phobic puck applicators, their crystal clear buckets and lids, almost everything...impresses! Then there's the customer service, whether it's during the week or even THE WEEKEND, no email of mine has gone unanswered but its the speed and throughness, care of the response...Griot's Garage-esque customer service and I've been with them for TWENTY YEARS

Congrats if you made it here, I too have favorites and this is how much I'm into atleast 2 of them (inserted 2 others in here, Easter eggs if you will)

between ADS Amplify and the Lobocosmetica QDs, what provides the most gloss and slickness in your opinion? I am stocked up right now, but already thinking about what i plan to apply next. I really like amplify but it feels like its just missing that little something to make it exactly what I want. BC3 from apex was probably there appearance wise but it was just finicky to work with and no nice smells.
