LOL, they weren't lying, it didn't touch the dirt on the back.

LMAO

I complained to an attendant and he put the blame back on me because I didn’t let them scrub it first with their brushes on poles setup

I tried explaining how much damage that does and it just went over the top of his head

Any further argument was pointless

A touchless wash that pre-scrubs? uhh...

They have 5 tunnels

4 are plain touchless

The 5th has attendants who spray it down with something and go after it with brushes and then send you through a tunnel

Might as well just be a rotating brush wash

On a more positive note

Our agent for the house build went by yesterday and snapped some quick pics

She reported that all the exterior walls are up and the trusses were delivered

She said they were prepping for installing the trusses today

Sorry for the bad pics, she took them from inside her car

Maybe I should offer her a complimentary interior glass cleaning…

Bought a Ryobi 18V Multi tool, so I could cut a peep hole in the gate for the dogs to look out. Yes, I know it's not quite square, but it looks square from the inside, I'll do some trimming later.

Never used one of these before, weirdly, light pressure cuts faster than heavy pressure.

The gate also has a "beware of the dog" sign, so if anyone puts anything through that hole, they deserve to lose it.

I watched Michigan almost choke away the game today, they have ZERO chance in "The Game" next weekend ...doesn't help that Corum is hurt either, oh well

Must have missed the game you're talking about, but there were two other games played, and Australia won both of them. Our women and men won to be crowned Rugby League World Champions. The women beat New Zealand 54-4, and the men beat Samoa 30-10.

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi.

Looks like Corum's injury isn't serious.

And............... OS is losing to Maryland at the half. :)

spent a lot of the day in the garage. pulled off all the wheels on my car to check the brake pads. will be ordering the parts soon to change them. went to do spark plugs as well but didn't have my spark plug socket so i moved onto the snowblower - starting it up, changing the oil, inflating the tires and checking auger operation.

Researching chainsaws over the last couple of weeks, I spotted guys using a no-spill fuel containers for refueling. A few minutes on Amazon and I found what I was looking for -

No-Spill 1415 1-1/4-Gallon Poly Gas Can (CARB Compliant) : Amazon.com.au: Sports, Fitness & Outdoors

Why on earth did I not find something like this years ago!

And joy of joys, I got use my new chainsaw today!! :dblthumb2:

First, this semi-weeping cherry did not re-shoot this spring. It's a very old specimen that needed some savage pruning a few years ago. The tree re-shot with vigor after that. However, I think a prolonged period of being in wet soil this past winter and spring did it no favors. So, down it came...........

It was then onto an Albizia that had been slowly dying over the last few years. Seeing as I had the chainsaw on site, down it came too!

WOW! What a beast! Now, this wood was super soft, but with a brand-new chain, it ripped through it with ease. I have NEVER had a saw cut like this, like butter! On the thicker timber, I got to play with some full throttle and let the thing sing!

Like any machine, there is always a period of getting to know it. The starting process is a bit finicky, needing some throttle to warm it up for 30 seconds prior to letting it idle.

I joked to my client today that I probably shouldn't charge them for today, I was having far too much fun playing lumberjack.

Have you taken a chainsaw course to learn proper cuts etc, or just something you have learnt along the way.

Better than the game I watched last night seeing Tennessee not show up to play at all. Rumor is that a team issue lead to the starting middle linebacker not making the trip. Let’s hope a real team makes the trip to Vandy next week.

I have that same gas can in a 2.5 gallon

May have to look at that. We have one like this:

But it's 5-gallon (bigger than we need) and doesn't look like it pours as well.

I have been using chainsaws for 20 years, a combination of self-taught and training.

I did the official chainsaw users' module at TAFE when I did my training. Because I had been messing with chainsaws for a few years by that stage, I already knew most of what I was being "taught".

While I'm terrified of angle grinders and demolition saws, for some strange reason, I'm all good using a screaming chainsaw! Go figure?

The thing with chainsaws is to have them sharp as possible, this allows the machine to do the work for you. When the machine is running and cutting efficiently, then the machine is safe. It's when a user starts pushing the machine beyond what its capable of, that's when bad stuff starts to happen.

More chainsaw action today, this time the little MSA 140C -

This was a cleanup of a neighbor's garden, trimming and removing larger material that she can't deal with. This included removing the remains of two ancient fruiting grape vine. Access to make the cuts was limited, so the smaller MSA 140 was ideal for this job.

I also used it to trim back a neglected Ligustrum hedge, the saw slicing through branches too thick for a hedge trimmer. For smaller jobs like this, the smaller, lighter and run-on-demand battery saw is brilliant.
