What did you do today non-detailing related?

I have been using chainsaws for 20 years, a combination of self-taught and training.

I did the official chainsaw users' module at TAFE when I did my training. Because I had been messing with chainsaws for a few years by that stage, I already knew most of what I was being "taught".

While I'm terrified of angle grinders and demolition saws, for some strange reason, I'm all good using a screaming chainsaw! Go figure?

The thing with chainsaws is to have them sharp as possible, this allows the machine to do the work for you. When the machine is running and cutting efficiently, then the machine is safe. It's when a user starts pushing the machine beyond what its capable of, that's when bad stuff starts to happen.

We had the 40 odd 30 metre tall pines cut down a few weeks back took the 4 man crew 3 day's to clear had a "BIG" chipper to chip the so called small stuff, They told me and the old man not to help because of insurance purposes but he did still keep a eye on them.

The main bloke doing all the cutting had only been doing this sort of work 16 months but they weren't the most talkative, bit rough around the edges type guy's but did a good job
for the money the boss got.

The guy who will be doing all the cabinets, flooring, and tile was in the area measuring another job and went by our house site

He snapped this

It’s moving right along

You’ve got a good ratio there Chilly. When I play with designing my own house, it always seems 3/4 garage and 1/4 house. For some reason my wife won’t even pay attention.

Are most of the houses in the area single story?

No, in this particular development it’s probably 70% 2 story houses

When we were first looking at this particular builder and this development in particular we asked about the demographics

He said the 2 stories were mostly families and the ranch styles were mostly retirees, like us

Momma has a bionic hip and 2 bionic knees so 1 story it is!

100%.

Upper floors are for storing kids.

If (when) we ever sell our 2-story here on LI, my next house house will definitely be a single-level ranch style house.

Yeah all the old folks are buying up the ranch style homes around here too

What did you use for crust? Deep fry them bad boys?

The rings were dredged in oat fiber

Then dipped in beaten eggs

Then placed in a big bowl of pork rind and Parmesan crumbs crushed up in the food processor

Do this all a second time

Cooked at 425 for 15 minutes on the wire rack sprayed with Pam spray

I hate deep frying

No bigger mess on earth

Actually sounds good. If you have an air fryer try that. Cooking that way seems to get better more delicious results….. pork rinds…. Ingenious.
