What did you do today non-detailing related?

Wow that is cool! Kinda wish that had that stuff when i was a kid...and i had money.

My wife and i went to the wright patterson airforce base museum in ohio a few years back. We did thier dogfight flight simulator. I was the pilot and she ran the weapons. This thing spun you around 360 degrees. Was so cool. Id like to have that in our basement lol

 By "going to movies more these days" I should probably clarify that it really means "going to a movie every two or three months"; prior to the past 2 years I probably haven't been to a movie in a theatre in over a decade. We did check into Cinemark Movie Club at $9.99 per month but I just don't really find that many movies that I want to see these days. Which didn't prevent me from sitting through "Mrs Harris Goes To Paris" a few months ago but sometimes sacrifices must be made

Edit: Now that I thought about it, maybe check into the Cinemark Club for 9.99; could easily hit one movie a month in Winter; wonder if you can join/suspend at will? Summer/Car Season too busy each weekend but Winter would save some $$...thanks for the tip!

You can join and cancel whenever. The tickets stack up and you can get one membership and save tickets. If you don’t go for 3-4 months you’ll have 3-4 tickets saved and you can use them to buy tickets for you and the wife.

checked and topped off all the jump starters today...

I had some fun on my way to the golf driving range today, I pulled up to a set of traffic lights, in the middle lane of three, and the lane outside me ends in just over 150 metres. If anyone goes into that lane, it's on, depending on what they're driving. I'm always up for a stoplight drag. In this case it was a Hyundai i-30N hatch, I know these things are fast, but how fast? I can hear him revving, so I load up the auto, just over 2000 revs, anymore and I break traction on launch. The lights change and we're off, no wheel spin for me, the nose lifts and by the time I'm across the intersection I'm a car length ahead, by the time I pass the 60kmh speed limit I'm 2 car lengths ahead, and the only way to pass me is to go over the limit, which he won't do because everyone knows the police like to sit at the top of the next hill with Lidar. I know he was trying because I could hear his exhaust over mine as we launched. I do know that his car is much faster than mine, but I'm quicker than him. We have a similar power output, but I'm heavier, with wider rubber and better traction, and the auto gearbox gave me an advantage as well. For the next 3km in traffic he kept coming up next to me making his exhaust pop, crackle, and fart, but he wouldn't make eye contact with me.

Sorry for the long description, but I was grinning like an idiot all afternoon.

Sold the old set of 3 seasons from my old ES yesterday. No haggling and they went to a good home

at least he got them from someone (you) who took care of them. those match well with silver paint...

I fitted my new door handle covers, hiding the clear coat failure on the top of the passenger side door handle, you'd think it would've happened on the driver's side first. They fit with double sided tape, which I wasn't going to trust, so I used some Gorilla epoxy to ensure they never come off, ever.

On Saturday, I got to spend a few hours in UofM Vet ER because our dog decided to chew/puncture my asthma inhaler.
She got ~140 doses of albuterol in one shot. After about 1/2 hour she was lethargic, breathing heavy and you could tell her heart was racing, so we brought her in.
Her heart rate was around 200bpm and potassium level was way low.
She got some meds for heart rate and potassium supplement. She spent about 8 hrs there.
We brought her home Saturday night and she was wiped out.
By Sunday afternoon she was almost back to normal and this morning she seemed 100%.
Good thing she's young and ~80lbs, an older/smaller dog may not have survived.

Scary when that happens, glad she's ok. Mine mainly chew on random bits of cardboard, my MFs, or each other. Luckily they tend to know what not to eat. They also have a few bones and antlers around the yard they can gnaw on when they get bored.

I got a callender reminder today, "oil the posts", it's a 6 monthly thing.

In Philly, that would mean there's a major sporting event and they're trying to prevent people from climbing the light posts.
