Oh wow, like how people use Kleenex and Coke, thanks Bosko, does that thing still work?

I did some Christmas shopping today, for my little nephews, found exactly what I was looking for, and was out the door in less than 5 minutes. Just down the road Repco, one of our main auto chains had opened a big new store, so I went in for a wander. Nice selection of Gyeon, and of course all the other regular shop brands.

Wow! Being able to go into a store like that almost makes me want to move to Australia! But hanging upside down makes me dizzy now.

Go the speedlimit to avoid needing a fuzz buster. A smokey nabbed me over the holiday. I now follow my own advise.

I'm already doing that, in fact I haven't had a speeding fine since 1990. But they are sneaky and sit in places where your speed can creep up if you're not paying attention. I'm also not sure what their tolerance is, for example, down in Victoria, DFBs state, they can get you for as little as 2km/h over, or so the internet says.

This picture was taken on the trip when I got my one and only speeding fine, when I found this picture a few months ago I noticed something funny, the tyres on it, that were on it when I bought it, were bigger than standard, and that's how I got my fine, I had no idea back then that big tyres would affect the Speedo, and get me a ticket, I was sure I wasn't speeding. They were basically rally tyres, Uniroyal Wildcats from memory.

These stunning Hydrangea's are at peak beauty.......................

These plants have had a nice ride so far, the summer heat has taken a while to arrive this year, with plenty of mild warmth to promote vigorous growth. With 44 degrees expected tomorrow, I doubt they will survive unscathed as the afternoon sun whips around and fries those delicate leaves and petals. I think the owner is going to cover them with a sheet, but if the wind whips up, that won't last long.

I'd be interested to hear how they sell in your area, especially having coatings on the shelf.

When Repco started selling Gyeon a couple of years ago, the products were up at eye level and nicely displayed. They are now on the bottom shelf at my local store. I suspect being a lower socioeconomic town would mean premium products like Gyeon would be quickly overlooked in favor of something cheaper or better known such as Bowden's, Autoglym and Meguiar's.

That direct heat from the sun can be brutal, I'm seeing some brown patches in the lawn, so I've been putting the sprinklers out every second night. We were supposed to hit 36 today, but it's low at 31 so far, and it's been a bit windy as well. They've predicted up to 40 on Tuesday.

Funnily enough, this shop is in Rutherford which is a lower socioeconomic, industrial, rural area. If you ask people where my brother lives, very close to Newcastle city centre, they look down there noses at people from Rutherford, and Thornton where I live, but I always just ask him which of us has had their house broken into and car stolen from their driveway? Don't worry, they only got it 100 metres down the road, they couldn't figure out how to turn the electric park brake off.

I think it's a case of not really knowing what they have. When I was wandering around the guy was trying to push the Bowden's Own range on me, 25% off this week. I told him that I liked a couple of their products but didn't need any at the moment, but a lot of the stuff I really like is only available online. He just smiled and shrugged.

Anyone else get this little gem?

Email referencing "my order number" although I didn't order anything and it is obviously just an attempt to get me to place an order

Pretty crappy if you ask me
