What did you do today non-detailing related?

Brought my car to a Discount Tire in Joliet, no I didn't see Jake or Elwood around, and it's getting new rims. My stock rims are being wrapped in brand new Blizzak WS90's and put aside till next month or early November. I'm anxiously nervous

Jefferson and Larkin and if you should ever need anything and go there ask for Brandon. I've known Brandon since I moved here back in 2009 and have been following him from store to store. He's been the store manager for a number of years now, working his way up the ladder there. He's also a gearhead and understands my OCD, like having the name of the tire lined up the valve stem and then the centercap lined up also, wait, did I just reveal this outloud.......

Well since i cant just sit around since being out of work because of my knee injury. I decided to do some vinyl work on my wifes civic. I wrapped the rear chrome trim and front grill in satin black metallic 1080 3m vinyl. Her emblems im going to be wrapping soon in muddy girl camo. Not my style but its what she wants.

Note front grill was a pain in my a**. Right where it curves 2 different directions around the emblem sucked. But i got it with some heat and patience. I work for a sign shop. I dont do wraps and stuff but i know how too. I also do tint and make signs u see on the road. I find vinyl fun to play with. And if you dont like it just pull it off.Plasti dip is great stuff too

My wife ran into a parking garage pillar and instead of spending hours straightening the door I went pick and pull a got a fairly straight door for $55. And painted it tonight it turned out good typical dust from a garage job but will color sand and buff in the morning

Thanks! It's really the only profession I've known. I used to try and answer body and paint work questions on here but it always seemed like somebody wanted to argue so....its not worth it I just read

Being good at Body/Paint is awesome. I have a buddy that has done it since the mid-80's. It is indeed an art.

Also, any argumentative posts here on AG shouldn't be tolerated.

To lose your knowledge about your craft for the forum to read is not good for the AGO community.
 
Have transfered all things from my old Samsung Tab A to the new Samsung Tab A 10.5 LOL

And have the Sony X5 to get delivered to me when it's released in a couple of days. The screen on that one says to be awesome.

I painted a dresser. It was originally brown. Now it’s off white. My wife says it makes her feel more peaceful so if that helps to buy me more detailing time I’m all for it. :).
 
I bought this truck form my dad. I recently sold my 17 Tundra crewmax to buy a c7 corvette.

I bought this to replace the Tundra for some truck duty.
