What did you do today non-detailing related?

Yesterday was prep-day for my Red Sport. Nothing huge as she's not going to be what my previous daily drivers have been in terms of punch or handling but she holds her own just fine considering the numbers produced were on a Mustang Dyno last year.

  • Changed brake pads, rotors and fluids in prep for a few upcoming track days.
  • Tweaked the latest version of the tune she is running. Should bring even smoother boost levels as they come on.
  • Upgraded the bushings all the way around to help firm her up even more.
  • Road forced all the wheels again and got rid of that very slight vibration that found it's way into the 80mph mark. Now she's super smooth all the way through.

Takeing a little break while changeing the caliper and rotor and brake pads and saw the handbrake pads was worned out too. Know beginning with handbrake pads and those are a PIA to switch. Much patience is needed LOL.

Came to work to build equipment. Love when the customer calls at 5:45

Hit 65 here today. Put away the snow blower, changed the oil in the push mower, installed the battery in the rider, and installed an inductive hour meter on the rider.

It was a great day to service my zero turn. Of course I had to evict the local field mice first . Also found a snake skin in this mess. Guess I’ll take all the help I can get.

Well today I got started on next years firewood. I usually have it done by spring. But early December I hurt my Achilles’ tendon and lost 3 months. So now it’s time to cut, split and stack. I should have the wood shed full in about three weeks. That’ll be working in the evening’s after work.

thanks for the likes guy's. I'll post a pic when the wood shed is full. I just put a honda engine on that log splitter & it's working just fine.

Been lugging around a very cheap and irritating tool bag at work. You know the kind, one big zipper pouch where everything ends up somehow shifting to the bottom like it’s got quicksand in it. A couple months wasn’t so bad until I ended up throwing another set of standard wrenches into it, and then finally got a set of metric. It was a nightmare to find anything wrench related, not to mention anything else in there.

My mentor has one of these

Which is so freakin nice, but i don’t want to drop that kind of cash until I feel like I’ve earned it. I seriously wish I’d never even touched it because now I know what nice feels like and everything else feels like trash.

But still, I needed a solution that would at least work better than what I was using. So I walked around my local hardware store after work and found the cheaper canvas version of the tool bag above.

Not nearly as nice or well thought out as my mentors, but all it needed to be functional was some black microfiber towels (4) stuffed into the side areas where my wrenches are on either side. Otherwise they wouldn’t really stick out, which defeats the purpose of the design imo.

We’ll see how it holds up, but I can sure tell you I never thought I’d be pumped about finding a toolbag lol.

Re: Installed some Conti DWS06's on the RedSport

Added the GM stainless steel exhaust tip. Had the black illuminated Chevy bow tie installed yesterday for the front grille.

That’s the secret. We are always wired. I traded the old ride in on a new ride for the wifey. Out of town for a soccer tournament and decided to go look and she found a black on black she loved
