My brother has one ( Electrolux vacuum cleaner) that is at least 50 years old, still runs great and is used twice weekly on his hard wood floors. We’re both in our mid to late fifties and used to help my grandmother vacuum the rugs at the farm with it. Bags are still readily available through dealers and on Amazon.

I was in my dad's basement getting some stuff last Saturday and happened to look up and see the 70's gold/cream Electrolux vacuum from my childhood on a top shelf. It still worked fantastic when I last used it.
 
I finished painting a resin bust of my personal heroes Calvin and Hobbes this morning, then fired up the ultrasonic cleaner and cleaned my bride's jewelry while I cleaned up my art studio with some music.

Got myself a drone, the Mavic Air, this week. Tonight I flew it for the first time, in beginner mode of course. It was so much fun although I do admit to being terrified of losing it at the same time. Going to find a large open field tomorrow and give it another go. Got 3 batteries, extra propellers and a replacement warranty.

Also checked on our tomato plant I planted last week and the jalapeño pepper i planted yesterday. So far so good. Biggest challenge I have w gardening is the animals eating my plants and flowers like the roses. Squirrels love roses. I’ve got into landscaping and gardening during the pandemic. I had no idea how much work it was but I love caring for my plants now. Seeing them grow and watering, feeding and caring for them w my 8yr old daughter is a very cool experience. My son, he just fortnites and soccer, lol.

Today's creation..........





I'm a Nurseryman and Horticulturist by trade. These two bird baths were delivered damaged and rather than let them go to waste, I potted them up with a collection of Succulents.

I love doing things like this and they turned out better than I had imagined.
 
Still enjoying mowing the grass with my recently purchased Snapper battery powered mower. No gas, no oil and filter to change, no rope to pull, which is most important since the rotator cuff in both my shoulders s torn into. In addition, it is quiet enough I can listen to Pandora through my earbuds while mowing.

 
Installed a set of retrofit projectors on the 02 SS that I picked up from blackbird lighting solutions.

Still need to tweak the alignment.

They look great, just hope the light output is good. A lot of those aftermarket headlights don't seem to perform as well as OEM.

These are factory lights that have been retrofitted with a Morimoto projector. No comparison between this and a cheap eBay projector headlight. I would not have paid this much for custom headlights :)

I can relate! About 18 yrs ago I paid $1200 for a custom made set of quad projectors w/HID bulbs from Sylvania (low beams) for my 2000 Contour SVT!

I like the idea of going battery powered to mow. I have about 1/4 acre to mow. Once the gas powered dies, I may look into one.

I am going to have him retro the lights in my Grand Prix as well.
