What did you do today non-detailing related?

I mowed the yard yesterday and finished it today, and I spent the morning getting my Quickbooks set up and all of the purchases, products, etc. etc. entered for my side detailing business.
 
My big bro died this morning from the Rona. I'm kinda lost right now the pain in my mom's eyes. She had to bury two of her kids now. I really don't know what to think or do. I don't know my big bro is gone.

Damn, man. It pains me to read this. I'll be thinking of you, if it's any consolation.

This Virus is NO joke. I live in the state that was the explosive epicenter of it early on. (NY) We shut down almost completely, and stayed shut down for as long as the data said we should. 4 months later, and we are still not completely into phase 3 or 4 in many areas.

Those states who jumped the gun and/or caved in to economic pressure, are now in deep sh!t again.

Wear a damn mask in public, people.

Thanks everyone. It isn't in pain anymore. He wasn't a out person just stayed to himself and drew a lot. Someone that thought it was a joke came around him and gave it to him. We have to go view the body tomorrow morning. So my wife and uncle going up there with my mom and I. So it will be ok.

Just moved this gray rat snake out of the road on highway 18.

Got bit a couple times. Didn't have time to try to catch him without getting bit. Cars were coming so time was at a premium


No they don't hurt (non venomous snake bites anyway) . Moved him to a safer spot

Snakes are amazing animals. He was pretty calm after we got off of the highway.

Painted the lamp posts in my front lawn and walkway on Sunday. They were getting grey from the sun and weather conditions. Pretty happy w how they came out. Cost me about $8 in paint and 30 min of my time.

That’s very nice. I had to have the ones on my house refurbished. The sun and salt air takes a toll on them here.
 
After work today I started regrouting the shower in the master. I hate working on bathrooms but wife keeps asking me to do it so finally started. She’s pretty happy w the results so far. I have to go find matching caulk to seal the shower doors next. No pics this time

Just back from a two week road trip visiting friends & relatives. The stack of Trex deck boards did not install themselves in my absence. It’s raining today so tomorrow I’ll be back at it. I need 3 days to finish and then I can detail my van after the 2,000 mile trip.
 
My son (11) is getting into photography. I gave him my Nikon D40 and I am teaching him how to use it. I use a Nikon D3300. We are learning together and it’s fun. He’s particularly interested in taking pictures of the night sky. We’ve been out til 1am a couple of nights this week trying to take photos. This is one of the better ones we have captured. It’s amazing how much we can’t see w the naked eye.
