Soldered new gimbles on three of my Xbox One controllers. 12 bucks versus 180. Yeah, Ill take it. Also replaced the plastics on the shoulder buttons for two of the three. 8 bucks. So in reality I spent 20 to repair all my existing controllers instead of buying three new ones!
 
8:15 got my tallywacker “scoped” and I have three big marbles in my kidney to deal with. 10:00 drop my wife off for carpel tunnel release surgery. All’s well here!

This made me squirm. *shudder*
 
Reading on the web...... big “marbles”, mine are round, if too big to grab and pull back thru with the hooks on the camera. They make an incision in your back and kidney and bring them out that way. I’m thinking since I asked the Doc if he could do it now since I was laying there and he mentioned the surgery center.... I’m thinking option B is in my future.

You might want to check to see if you are a candidate for lithotripsy ...

I did bring that up but he was non committal to what method was in the cards. I’m waiting for a call from scheduling and pick their mind to what’s being scheduled.
 
Rented a pontoon boat yesterday and took it out on the bay w wife, kids, and father in law - he loves to crab. We had a blast. We caught over 40 crabs, 15 of them keepers. We used cages, drop lines and fishing poles.

We also caught a summer flounder but released it. I forgot to take a tube so kids stayed mostly out of the water and in the boat. We had food and drinks and made a day of it.

Two days ago I took the kids dolphin and whale watching off Cape May, NJ. We saw over 100 dolphins but no whales.

Later we went fishing and caught some minnows. Kids were thrilled to see blues and horseshoe crabs walking/swimming right up to us in a marsh.

We also had a nice dinner (king crab was my favorite) and ended the day in the beach. Water was nice and waves were just enough to have fun in. Then I drove 2.5 hours home.

Cape May....... What an Awesome place!! I have been there a few times.

I know you didn't catch any of those King crab legs there though, Willie. Lol
 
I already had my pressure washer out to use on my truck so I thought I would see how it did on the sidewalk. It did good so now I have another project to add to my list, and after that the driveway. 😀

 
96 degrees and high humidity. Perfect day to work on adding Trex to the deck surface.

For the second time in 30 yrs of ownership the clutch rod cotter pin broke under the dash of my ‘81 Corvette, sending the clutch petal to the floor. Of course it’s the most humid day of the year.

I was picking up a friend for a Cars & Coffee and I was leaving his driveway. He did have a cotter pin and a pair of cheater reading glasses so I could see under there. With the help of my phone flashlight and a lot of squirming, I got it done.

Good God I’m not a kid anymore!!!
 
I finally found a way to tie my spare tire down in my trunk. Yes, it’s 1 of the Detail Guards... I don’t really use them when washing my car, so this makes great use out of it.

Before this I had to deal with the tire sliding around and banging against the inside of trunk everytime I made a sharp turn or accelerated fast.

Definitely not.

The good thing is I’ve got AAA so if/when I get a flat I just call them to come change it. It also means I lose a bit of weight by not having to carry around the scissor jack and donut spare in the trunk.
 
A couple of days ago I installed a new battery in my key fob but it didn’t seem to make it work any better... It would only work maybe half the time and only if I was standing right next to the car. So today I took it apart again and cleaned every part of the inside of it. Maan was it dirty.. I mean it was at least 10x dirtier than any of the youtube vids showing how to clean it. Lol.

The good news is it works perfectly now. Even from inside the house about 30ft. away.
