Last weekend: I went to opening night for the Los Angeles Clippers @Staples Center. Had a great night even though they lost.

Damn,I wish I could take break from cutting grass. It grows all year here. :(

Cut the grass for the last time this year!

Yeah, that's what I said last week, but damn if it didn't grow again this week. (Lots of rain and temps in the mid-60's).

We bought this house in 2005, and I can remember mowing in November maybe once?? :dunno:

Mowed my parents lawn, Cleaned the interior and engine bay on dad's ute.

I bought a new set of tires on Black Friday and yesterday I had them installed. I ended up going with:
Westlake SA07 Sport
245/35 R20 95W

Btw the reason I chose to buy new tires? I finally checked the date code on my 2 rear tires [which I thought were the “good ones” based on brand name] and found out they were made in 2005!! Lol.

These new tires were all made in the 31st week of this year.

I’ve already begun the strip cleaning on them in preparation for coating.

I bet you have to remove the old wheel weight glue residue. I've found that to be a PITA job at times.

I actually hadn’t even thought to look that close inside the barrels. It’d be hard to spot that in there.

I’m thinking about picking up some Mothers Tire Renew because the 3 tire cleaners I tried yesterday didn’t remove the film that’s on the rubber. Pretty surprised actually for as much as I scrubbed.
-Meguiars D143
-Pinnacle Black Label Tire Cleaning Gel
-LA’s Totally Awesome

And that film still appears once they dry. Weird because I can remove it if I rub my finger on the dry tire.

Btw I almost pulled the trigger on a set of Vogue Tyres. I was really doubting as to why I didn’t yesterday. But I’ve got a couple of maintenance repairs I outta get done soon regarding the suspension.

Vogue tyres on a Caddy are nice! I don't think they make them for mine last time I checked though :(

I was seriously second guessing my decision yesterday because I could’ve easily got them instead. Of course it would’ve been about an extra $1,200 dollars but damn Vogues are on my bucket list and you only live once.

Coupe Deville is on 15” right? They gotta make em for that car. They have them for 85 Eldorados, at least I’m pretty sure they do.

Yes the Coupe is on 15s. It's been a while since I tried looking them up. Maybe I should try again. I have big problems with that car though, one of the wheel covers is stuck on. I've been trying to remove it for *years* I'm hoping my tire shop can get it off. But in the mean time I gotta get tires for the Honda first.

How is it stuck on?
Worst case scenario take it to the dealer and tell em you want a tire rotation. They sure as hell better be able to remove it or at least you know they’ll replace it if they gotta break it. Lol.

Years ago I needed a water pump changed and the local radiator shop couldn’t even take the damn thing off. Called me up after half a day to tell me that… You gotta be kidding me. I have the worst luck that’s why I no longer let shmucks work on my car. Lol.

Years ago I must not have seated the locking nut properly and now it's on lopsided making it impossible to move especially with the flimsy plastic keys I have.

I'm hoping the dealer or the good tire shop here has a professional tool to go in there and spin it off.

It's something that's been on the back burner for a while but I need to tend to my Honda first.

Reminds me of yesterday. They pull my car up once it’s done and 1 of the centercaps is so loose that it’s dangling off the wheel.. It’s a good thing the supervisor noticed it because those centercaps are about as rare as hens teeth nowadays and if you happen to find 1 they want a couple hundred for it. Lol.

A couple hundred! Wow! I think mine are still a bit more reasonable.

Yea, you gotta figure they quit making these wheels probably well over 10yrs. ago. Company no longer exists.

Last time I checked Offer up there was 1 person selling 1 for $150

Don't go anywhere where they might get stolen.

So I can’t leave my driveway?lol.

I just checked, and these days you can buy a whole set of this brand wheels including centercaps for as low as $400.
But no one’s currently selling the ones like mine in 20’ so we get into hens teeth territory for the time being. Lol.

I feel good at least I’ve got a spare wheel & tire in the trunk.
