When we were first talking to the builder he was going over the various features in common with all his floor plans and models of home and a common thread was a “hot dog heater” in the garage

I knew what he was referring to but I had never heard that term used before and couldn’t figure out where it came from

Then we went to see a model home in one of his developments and there it was, big as life, hanging in the garage

I’ll go with the “Trent”

Played with an early Christmas Gift as my wife and kids knew I was anxious to try a new-to-me method like this. Glarlic and Herb Pork Tenderloin. Came out super juicy and on-point taste wise.

I just can’t pull the trigger on one of those. I couldn’t get myself to do beef. Chicken that I have comes out good though.

That tenderloin looks juicy now just gotta through it on the grill for a little char.

Got myself one of these for Christmas

Classic model. $499 for a Black Friday price. Was hoping to find a big joe 2 but couldn’t find one. But this price was a steal as I’ve never seen them that cheap.

Also got red calipers and slotted and dimpled rotors for the Camaro.

So now you young punks are ganging up on me and age shaming me?

Trigger warning!!!

If the orthopedic shoe fits...

The fact that that song is almost 30 yrs old doesn't make me feel young either. I saw them in high school.

I had to look that up, didn't have a clue, NICE!

We had them put in a natural gas stub on the patio for a grill, but I am having trouble finding a natural gas grill with a side smoker chamber

I know purists think gas grills are the devil but when I want to grill I want to grill, year round and no running to the store for a tank or a bag of charcoal

I saw sooooo many classic acts during High School (69-73) and the decade after, most for $5-$10 dollars a show and lots of triple bills

My daughter asked me like 15 years ago if I wanted to fly with her to Seattle and see Clapton, "it's only $700 a ticket" she said...

Ummm, pass...

It’s taken me years to wean my wife off of well-done steak, but maybe that’s because she grew up in a family that was careful with money and they never bought Prime cuts. I never don’t buy Prime (or Canada AAA) or better. Nevertheless, she was skeptical when I said I’d be doing steaks SV… now she can’t have steak the “old” way (even though I’m perfectly capable of hitting medium-rare the “old” way). It’s just so easy, and I can prep sides and salads and whatever else, or sit and chat with my guests, then 90 seconds of searing on the grill or over the Weber chimney, AB-style (or in a cast iron skillet in winter), and done.

Lol I went to see Roger Waters back in 83 or 84, it was the first concert I’d been to that the face value on good seats was over 20 bucks! $21, plus $5 to a friend’s scalper mom for third row on the floor. Clapton was his guitarist! I laugh now, finding out what total dicks both of them are.

I was watching a video not that long ago and someone was interviewing Roger Waters

They asked him what he though about another luminary rock legend and he just $#!¥ on the person

I honestly don’t remember who he was ripping on but it angered me to the point I shut off the video

It was really sad to hear

Yeah I’m definitely a fan of charcoal (lump) over gas. I would however have a gas if it was hooked to the house.

Edit: Would love the convenience of the natural gas.

My recommendation in your case would be gas grill/flattop and a ceramic, wood or pellet smoker. Gas for quick steaks but if your doing ribs, chicken, prime rib or brisket they’re worth firing up.

Had a traeger elite before this. It was alright but not enough smoke for me.

Yeah I’ve tried that way and didn’t think they were any more tender but a tad less flavorful. But everyone likes something different in their cuts of meats.

No, I wasn’t into whatever genre that was considered at the time

Metal or death metal or whatever

I can appreciate some of it in retrospect but at the time it just didn’t resonate with me

I was very eclectic in my tastes though

I can appreciate that, as I am as well.

So one more guess (hope)....... Frank Zappa??

Actually yup, I did

This was me in fall of 1973, I was 17 years old and a freshman in college at a redneck university in East Texas

I was listening to Hank Williams and Led Zeppelin, The Outlaws and The Grateful Dead, Charlie Pride and Yes, Ann Murray and The Allman Brothers, The Eagles and BTO, etc

I think you get the drift, just kind of all over the place

I saw Aerosmith in 1983 at the world famous Pine Knob, I was 13 and they didn't even have the original members in the band, my first concert. My last concert was back in 2016...Robin Trower at the Copernicus Center in Chicago!
