Hey. I'm always interested to see everyone's preference on chemicals and protectants. So the question is... What does everyone use on the interior as far as dash, doors, ect.Feed back please

poorboys trim restorer, im in love with this stuff. its always nice to use one product on the exterior trim/tires and use that same product on the interior panels/dash

while I just started this thread and its fresh on my mind has anyone ever tried Megs #40? Is it any good? It seems like it would be good stuff and the price implies it as well.

I use Einszett Cockpit Premium, as it cleans and protects in one step. It dries streak-free, it works on all interior surfaces (except for fabric and leather), and it leaves a coating which repels dust and guards the interior from sun damage. If I need more cleaning power, then I will break out the Optimum Power Clean, diluted 3:1 and then follow up with the Cockpit Premium for the protection.

If I need even more protection, then I will break out the 303 Aerospace Protectant. For example, I often like to use 303 on the rear doors of my Subaru since I hardly ever have anyone back there. I don't need to clean the insides of the rear doors very often and the 303 lasts for a long time and repels dust nicely.

I love Optimum Protectant Plus, it leaves a very nice satin/matte look on the plastics and I use it on leather. My wife is very picky about the shine on her plastics and leather... she likes when I use it. It has a leather smell that dissipates after a day or so. The product is also very economical to use in bulk. It is my "go-to interior protectant"

I like 1Z cockpit premium for soft touch dashboards in euro cars, when you need the VERY MATTE, untouched - clean look. For an OTC product in a pinch, Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer is a very matte, clean look.

I have used 303, vinylex, 1Z cockpit premium, ## silk shine (pretty good for volume work, didn't like the floral smell) and the consumer Megs products.

303 is very good, but I can only get locally in 16oz bottles and it costs alot more then my Optimum Protectant+.

DP cleaner and DP protectant -good stuff all around. Leaves a nice finish behind without being oily. OP+ is also nice

I use Ultima Interior Guard Plus and Ultima Shampoo Gel.

I did a short review of it in response to someones question about it on this thread.

(Pics included of course :righton: )

M40 is too shiny and greasy feeling IMO. I love IZ cockpit lemmon when I can afford it. Opt Is good as well. Right now I'm trying out DP IP, smells good but a little too shiny for my liking.

Interiors --- Einszett Cockpit Premium, or Poorboys Natural Look
Leather --- Einszett Leather Care (designed for coated leathers)
Glass --- Stoners Invisible Glass and Cobra Glass WW MF Towel
Carbon Fiber Inserts / Wood Inserts --- Zaino Z8
Carpets -- Folex

Really, never had M40 feel greasy before. If you don't like the shine, follow up with a try towel.

I really want to try Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer because it cleans and protects in one step and it works on the whole interior including leather, but excluding carpets of course. It's also readily availabe OTC and cheap - $6 for 16oz.
