What is your faviorte wash mitt?

They do shed but you need to maintain them. They aren't a use then dry mitt you actually need to wash it by hand when it dries you comb it with a pet comb. Definitely worth the extra time and effort

+1 I bought a pet brush just for that.

<3 my Wookie Fist.

I just fold my old dirty 25 year old mitt in half and cram it into the jams. It washes tires, engines, and the floor.:xyxthumbs:

I think you saw a certain video.

Curious about this statement. Just wondering what difference you see in the colour of the wool that makes the GTechniq mitt much higher quality than the Carpro or any other?
Is it the fact it is whiter?
Both are Merino wool so materials are obviously not the answer.
Haven't used that mitt & I'm sure it's great, maybe a lot better than the Carpro, but just not sure how quality can be judged by the look & colour of the product.
Many think the Wookies Fist is the ducks guts & they're patchy brown...

Once again, not trying to pick a fight, just after your reasoning on this Feed back please

I checked that mitt out. The thing I don't like about it is it's one work side. If the mitt has two identical work sides, you can flip it over half was through your panel and start with a clean side

Can anyone recommend a pet hair brush that works well with the wool mitts?

I've been using Meguiar's MF wash mitt for a year now ant I think it is excellent.

It cleans very well and it is also very easy to clean. Another advantage is that its color is white which makes it very easy to spot any contaminants that are left after you rub it against the grit guard, so you can even more minimize the risk of inducing swirls into the paint when washing your car.

Silly talk IMO.... It doesn't get higher quality than the CarPro mitt. One of my best buds has every wool mitt imaginable and he favors the CarPro mitt last I checked.

The color of the mitts will vary (unless they are artificially colored) because they come from live animals...

Each real merino wool mitt regardless of company will never be identical.

I'm using two

you're slipping on your impartiality there Cee Dog

fwiw there are significant differences between fleeces depending on burr content of fleeces, fineness of fibre, clumpiness of fibre, etc. there are several grades of merino.

you have a justifiably big reputation on this and other forums for your reviews which are extremely thorough and informative - let me know if you want a sample of ours as I think you will see what I am on about :xyxthumbs:

i swore by sheepskin, but have been using griots garage micro fiber wash pads. i like them! i think there is less marring.

on that former note, i loved adams sheepskin wash pads.

As of 5pm 9/9 the unscientific totals so far.
Wool Mitts (Car Pro: Adams Merino: Wookie ETC) = 8
MF Chanille (any brand) = 8
Sea Sponge= 2
Grout Sponge= 1
Pet hair Brush =1 LOL

Wookie's Fist... At first I didn't think it would be worth the money, boy was I wrong. Not only does it clean sections in a couple wipes. I can also use it to scare the crap out of my roommates cat! :D

I have two wookie's fist and it's probably my least favorite. To me it feels too big and bulky.

I have CarPro and Gtechniq mitts and I like both a lot. I think the Gtechniq is thicker since it has two sides wich is nice and the CarPro is nice as well. I also have a ton of cheaper wool mitts by Eurow and I love the price. Some tend to be a less thick than others but the thin ones I tend to use for well maintained wheels and door jambs. Most of mine are thicker though.

I use GTechniq and CarPro on well maintained cars and the cheaper ones on cars that are not. I would hate to miss a piece of tar and get it on one of the expensive mitts

No matter what wash media I buy, I always end up going back to the grout sponge. There is just something about it. :dunno:

 I do my best my friend! My comment was specifically towards a statement that based on the color the gtech mitt is of better quality. I meant no offense to the poster and certainly wasn't taking a shot at your mitt. Im certain its wonderful but I honestly doubt its better than the mitt I'm familiar with. I have never used the gtech mitt so most certainly I do not know one to be of higher quality than the other. My comment was not that one was better but rather my assumption is the opposite. It is my honest opinion that the Merino Wool of the CarPro Mitt which I reviewed over a year ago is top quality Merino wool. I use it for every wash on my pride and joy and a very good friend of mine that used to frequent this forum and has just about every wool mitt under the sun also prefers the CarPro mitt over all his others. He has not used the Gtech Mitt either as far as I know but he has the 40$ Merino mitt from another manufacturer from before he tried the CarPro Mitt. And after he bought the CarPro Mitt he has purchased many extras just in case it ever stops being made. Most certainly there is more than one grade (obviously) but not because the color is different on one from the other?!? My statement that all mitts are different is true.. no? Anyway I can't imagine that the Gtech mitt is superior to the CarPro Mitt and I also would not assume its any worse. I have used the same mitt for over a year and just can't say enough good things about it. I would love to have a sample of yours and give you my honest feedback if I can see a difference in the wool. It is my assumption that I will find it to be of similar quality. Of course assumptions aren't worth much but this was not about my assumption of the Gtech Mitt. only that I know for a fact the mitt I am familiar with is of high quality.

I love the wookies fist! The only down side it is takes forever to dry out. It is a treat I reserve for my car all others get MF mitts or grout sponges depending how groady they are.

I just meant the wool looks cleaner and more attractive. I would almost argue though that it is a little better quality. You can feel a difference in the quality of the backside as well it feels a lot stronger.

Ya its preference really. I didnt really like the wash mitt i never put it over my hand i just used it like a sponge so i figured id try this instead.
