What is your favorite product for interior cleaning and protection?

Light cleaning: Meg's Quik Interior Detailer - a must-have OTC product. Awesome for a quick dusting and doesn't leave a lingering odour. Unfortunately the mist is so fine that sometimes I'll breathe in little droplets and have a sneezing fit. :(

Medium/Heavy cleaning: Optimum Power Clean @ 3:1. OPC will power through anything on the interior. I keep a 17 oz bottle for using it full strength and a Walmart spray bottle for 3:1.

Protectant: Meg's Natural Shine - Low gloss, nice fragrance but I forget what that fragrance is. It's what I use in my parents' car since both of them like the look and smell. Available everywhere OTC.

Meg's #40 - Gloss is adjustable. Leave to dry for high gloss, buff for a satin look. Smell is similar to leather which I like but some might not. Can be found OTC at some retailers.

Optimum Protectant Plus - Low gloss, fruity smell but I can't figure out which fruit it is exactly. I believe it's the only one of these three that's recommended for use on leather but I haven't used it on leather yet.

I think I'm just going to have to get 303, optima and some 1Z cockpit and see which one I like the most.

I use different products leather, dash/panels, and carpets.

Dash/panels:
Light cleaning: Megs QID
Medium cleaning: Autoglym Super interior cleaner @ 10:1
Heavy cleaning: Autoglym SIC @ 4:1 + Autoglym Hi tech pad

Leather:
Megs APC at 10:1 or 4:1

Carpets/fabric:
Zep High traffic carpet cleaner
Folex

I usually dont dress my interior as I dont like the look, but for customer cars I use 303 protectant or Autoglym vinyl rubber care.

Skip the 1z cockpit premium. Megs QID performs exactly the same, is cheaper, and available locally.

Hey, do you think you could post a link to somewhere I could buy that AG Hi Tech Pad? I've heard people say they can't go without it when it comes to interior and I'm having a hard time finding the right one.

I still have some New Again, which I like for a dressing. It's not made anymore. Haven't found anything to replace it yet.

Rumor has it that AG supposedly discontinued the product as sales were not doing so good. Luckily I was able to purchase one from Ken @ Autowerkes Exclusive. He doesnt have it listed on his site, but he might have 1 or 2 left hidden away. If not, ask for an update on the replacement to the AG Hi tech pad he is looking to bring in.

DP interior surface protectant gets my vote big time. and....UIGP! more like a sealant for your interior. awesome product.

- 303 for dash and trim
- 303 for carpet
- DP for glass
- still searching for a preferred leather cleaner, but am blown away with the results of Leatherique oil

For cleaning and protecting AIO, you're not going to find a product that has heavy cleaning ability, only light cleaning. For this, my favorite is Sonax Dashboard cleaner/protectant. For heavier cleaning, I use optimum power clean, the go over with Sonax dashboard cleaner/protectant for a true matte finish.

I like the Hi-Temp products because they are made here in Omaha and I go directly to the manufacture to buy them. There leather cleaner/conditioner is amazing. It was able to remove a stain from my leather that I had tried everything on and was never able to remove it. I wont use anything else now. There APC is great too. I just love there products and the staff there are awesome.

Reading this post makes me realize i need to find a good all purpose cleaner for my interior!!

I recently used a mix of woolite/warm water for my carpet and headliner. (woolite does not fade or discolor) however make sure that your mf is barely damp when cleaning your headliner you dont want to wet it, you just want to brush the fabric and allow the cleaner to touch the surface of the headliner only. Wetting the headliner can cause any glue/adhesive's holding it to loosen!! Be careful.

For the leather I usually go with the wolfgang leather cleaner and conditioner ( conditioner leaves a great smell). This time I tried the Leather Masters cleaner and conditioner (purchased from autogeek). I must admit the leather master products worked very well. I believe the leather masters cleaner is stronger then the wolfgang cleaner. Can't go wrong with either brand.

I use megs interior detailer to clean any of the other interior trim.

I'm surprised. I used to love the grape dressing and their other non flamm dressing (they don't sell anymore). But after using other products theirs just feel dated performance wise. I even bought some of their quick detailer and wasn't too happy with the amount of wiping to remove it.

I will say I love their prep solve though. I use it for removing chemicals and waxes all the time.

What I use (keeping the thread on topic)

Apc+ for seats. Floors. Trim

Been using 1z cockpit premium, always gave a nice satiny look (don't like oily looks anymore). But got a sample of optimum (or was it dp) total interior cleaner. And that seemed to give a great look to everything as well..

Other than those I'm still trying to find my favorites through trial and error

Also for dressing shiny plastics ill use meguiars trim detailer. Definately best I've tried
