You know, I have a bottle of NuFinish here somewhere from when I FIRST started detailing... I may have to give that a go (on the gfs car of course). Why is it considered such an inferior product? (apart from the fact it's not once a year)

I do remember it staining my trim lol, but as far as beading went, it actually beaded pretty decently. I mean certainly beaded well for a 8 dollar sealant lol

I dont know how i never knew, but i had no idea about that Gary Dean Wash method. Ive kept from doing rinsless/waterless washes for fear of marring the paint. Im really interested in this method, and i believe i will try it out this winter. Im mainly interested for summer use tho, here in Houston its 100 degrees and even with the master blaster, its hard to keep from having water spots.

When prepping the car for a full detail I use the following:

Wash - Dawn dish soap to strip any wax and Pinnacle, Wolfgang or Poorboys Wash and Wax with regular washes
Clay - Zaino
Polisher - Porter Cable
Pads - Lake Country Hydro pads
Polish - Wolfgang Twins
LSP's - I usually use Fuzion, Souveran, Numerous Zymol waxes every 2 months
Between those 2 months everytime the car is washed I spray down with CG V7 Sealant Spray, Wolfgang Spray Sealant and Pinnacle Souveran Spray wax.
Trim - Wolfgang Vinyl and Rubber Protectant
Tires - Poorboys Bold N Bright
Soft Top - Wolfgang Vinyl and Rubber Protectant
Interior - Zymol Leather cleaner and conditioner
Carpet - Stoner Carpet Cleaner
Windows - Stoner Invisible Glass

Ive never used Meguiars APC+ but anytime I use CG Extreme Orange I always dilute 5:1. Any more product than that and it tends to take multiple rinses to get fully off. I use Nonsense on the interior diluted 10:1 and 20:1 and those dilutions has cleaned anything from light dust to heavy stains on interior plastic.

I just came across the GDWM as well. Now I find myself trying every rinseless wash. It will be my go to method during the cold winter. It is a great method for in the garage.

Go ahead people, flame me for the use of Turtle Wax products. :spam I grew up with them and find it hard to just toss them. When you put them to good use, they work pretty well for an OTC product. Maybe takes more work to do the job, but hey, if you got it, you might as well use it and finish it off instead of just tossing away money. I like to mix and match different brands of stuff just to show that even with inferior OTC products, you can still make your car look brand spankin' new.
