What products for a one step

If I were you, being that customers are wanting cheaper rates. Find yourself a good all in one product. I personally use Malco Glaze II...but I know AG doesn't sell that. Either way, it's a great AIO product.

I know the all in one products are not what any of us would like to do...but for me, it probably takes up 60% of my business. Fact of the matter is, most people just don't want to pay up for higher services MOST the time.

I charge $125 for most sedans, and that's a full exterior. Wash, clay, AIO buff, exterior windows, rims/tires, trim and chrome. You can get it done quick. Takes me about an hour or so. $125 an hour ain't bad...and it's a price most people can swallow. Obviously location plays into this.

It's funny cause you could charge $45-$50 an hour for correction...but you could bust out a quick AIO service and make more per hour. Of course the correction in the end will probably give you a bigger check in the long run...but, that's unless you've got a bunch of AIO exteriors lined up, ha. If you ask me...it's where the money is.

You must be moving to do all that in an hour. It takes me at least 30 minutes just to clay.

Thanks Richard, that's an easy number for me to remember being a "motorhead" (B&M 671 Blower) :xyxthumbs:

Great point!

Can't find it on AG store.

Too bad it's not there... :(

Something to keep in mind, DG #671 contains ZERO fillers. What you see is what you get with no surprises after the next wash, unless of course you have bad wash techniques! I'm still searching for the perfect pad to pair up with DG 671.

This is a very good point. You have to go with your market sometimes, especially if your food depends on it. A good friend of mine told me something last year that aligns with what you say, high end multi step paint corrections are great but come with a lot of stress, but 1 step soccer moms who just want a shiny car is where the money is. If I made a living out of detailing you can bet your bottom that this is what I would do, high volume, simple in-and-out details.

This year is all but over concerning detailing for me but next year this approach is exactly and all that I will be doing and it sounds like #671 is the go to product for that.

You should change your name to Lightning :buffing:

I know it was mentioned in this thread that Meg's 151 has more bite than DG 501, but how does Opt poli-seal or XMT 360 compare to the Meg's and OPT?
